Learned this week that another part of my organisation is facing job-cuts between 20% and 60%. Does make you wonder how long our bit can hold off the Grim Reaper...

Hope you'll be OK and they finally realise you;re indispensablev:D

So it's 4-5 cm in a GP, what size would that be in a human?

About hooman liver-size..i.e it's already rather big and occupying >15% of his abdominal cavity :(

    :grouphug:

    :):):):):):):)

    Hey Z

Hope you DO manage to survive the swinging cuts.....got your message re 1NE and am not surprised......

My mum e-mailed me today and wants to write to the PM.....bless her. Am asking her to wait until we've got the full stats and can make a big "splashy" campaign about it....PR, after all, is now King!!!!

And you're wondering if getting rid of that would make a difference to his abdominal (or abominable even) pain..?

I think growing an extra liver is going to hurt - he'd be best with it gone.

Glad to see Z has chipped in here - many words of wisdom, as usual, tho I'm sorry to see your place is facing such swingeing cuts, Z. You're right about the "times are hard" too - my mother, for instance, is really well insulated from the financial problems pensioners face, but she's noticed in people she talks to how difficult they're finding it - and believe me, if she notices other people's feelings, then its all pretty desperate. So, Wol, thats a round-the-banks way of saying, yep, Z is right, times are really hard, you don't need to feel bad about not finding a job yet - its such a short space of time you've been looking, especially in today's climate.

    Onwards and upwards, sweetie :kisses3:

Nice to hear from you again, Wol. Sometimes you can get so caught up in MSEworld that stuff piles up in real life which takes ages to sort.

Whatever happens with your little furry mate, the important thing is that he has had a loving home with you and a comfortable life so far. Whatever needs to be done to make the rest of his life comfortable and stress free, however long or short a time that is, just do it. It will be the right thing.

Lots of supportive vibes winging their way to you from Nargleland.

OK OK OK ...I know I'm a Cancerian and a water sign....but quite frankly this is getting ridiculous!

This morning my bathroom (my gorgeous main bathroom with the really luxurious green tiles) decided to develop a rather alarming brown ceiling ...and the lights are now permanently fused

    Yep - it's a water leak....in the loft....and it;s serious but easily rectifiable

I have identified the problem and rung the insurance company.....etc etc etc

Luckily (allegedly) I have paid £40p.a. for the benefit of their (Ins co) home emergency cover - a plumber should be able to visit me tonight and make an immediate permanent repair and stop the leak.....and therefore restrict any further damage

    .....Like ***k

Cue Wol spending the last 8 hours sorting things out in the loft...going through the same horrendous !!!!-ups with the insurance company..(memories of 2007:eek:)... and realising that she has a serious problem ......I have already binned tonnes of flooded/sopping fibreglass.......and have rectified the leak temporarily with plumbers tape........tomorrow is another day.

And on that note Im going to get seriously seriously drunk tonight

Charge them for 8 hours of your time if plumber boy doesn't turn up tonight. Simple and clear breach of contract.
