    Quickly catching up!

Great news you have been accepted for the marathon - you're a braver girl than me. I hope you can get your knee sorted once and for and all.

Well done for having such a fab time at Alton Towers for so little money - a very empowering feeling that is.

I have about 9 birthdays to buy for this month......

    Hi All

Been a wee while since I updated:o. Was so shattered after Alton T and found it very hard this week to get going. However things started picking up again by end of month and back to normal:D

I'm now going to start working on my new mantra "must stop frittering":o. Little things have been sneaking into the budget. I know I need to save money but it can be hard when you see things you like and you think it's really not that much but it all adds up. It's also hard when you see other people shopping and they don't seem to have a money care in the world. :)

So spends today £3.50 on papers & toothpaste and that should be my spends for today. I am now using my jam jar system and have £10 left to do me rest of month. I'm going to need another jam jar:D

I haven't ate any sweets or chocolate in 4 days!!!!!! I have terrible PMS and read that drinking more water and cutting sugary treats helps - the jury is still out but I'm sure it can't make it worse:)

Ooh I hope this doesn't sound like a moany post but not running at minute while strengthening my hip and I can get a bit grumpy when confined to quarters:D. I know I could go swimming or cycling but they are just not the same as going for a run.

Anyway this is going to be a better week and I think the Xmas countdown has begun:D

    have a great week everyone

    Morning all

I've been spending this morning already:o however it was necessary :D.

Spends for yesterday was £3.50 on papers & toothpaste but then we had a chinese £5.50. total - £9

Today I stopped at Mr T's for milk (74p) (my turn in work) and banana's (32p) ( I think I'm addicted). It's my nieces first birthday next weekend so I got her an outfit form Mr T (gone are the days of Baby Gap or Next) (£15 outfit + £1 wrapping + £2.24 on mixed sweets, which is my contribution to the party). I put aside £20 each month for birthday's so I'm under budget by £1.76 :T

    Total spends today - £19.30

I'm just going to note everything down here and it will shame me into stopping spending :D

I have Pilates at lunchtime and a very busy day ahead.

    Good luck all.

    Ok today's spends

£1.00 on crisps (I soooo needed crisps and I put 50p in vending machine at work and it held onto crisps:mad: so had to put in another 50p and ended up with 2 bags :o). Had a bad day and I'm in PMS hell:D so now you know why I needed crisps!!!!:D:D

£2.05 on odds and sods from local shop. Not needed but it's a blip:D

Tomorrow (assuming I haven't put on 5lb), I finally get my gold card in Weightwatchers :j. I've been on maintenance for over 5 weeks. Tomorrow night is Pilates.

Still doing lots of stretching and strengthening for my leg. I managed to drag myself to the gym this morning, first time in ages and a wee bit of a shock to the system:o I really miss running and I can' wait until I can go out running again.

today I got e-mails about Xmas dinners. So far I have 3 Xmas dinners to go to and it works out about £70 for 3 dinners:eek:. 1 of them I'm looking forward to but the other 2 I could do without. I make a point of not drinking at work do's as drink goes straight to my head and it's also over 30 miles from the venues to my home and the taxi fare would be ridiculous (no one lives in my direction).

Put on hair and beauty appointment today. Going to OH family wedding soon and it's the first big "do" of his I've been to. My hair is naturally curly and can go a bit wild at the best of times so going to let a hairdresser beat it into submission :D. OH doesn't know what the fuss is about but I think like a typical man he assumes women just turn up at weddings and it hasn't taken them hours to look that good.

Anyway, I just need to factor that into my budget and stop scoffing crisps:o.

    Morning all, it's been a while :o

I have been so busy recently that my diary has fallen by the wayside.

As you can see by my signature I've had a bit of a blip on the credit card so it's crept backup again. I got new orthodics last week which cost <200 and then my abs on car finally gave up the ghost (my bf has kept it going for a year but he admitted defeat:) so that was just over <300. I was stressing about paying which I could have done from my savings but that would have left me no cushion for Xmas or other little emergencies. So I put it on my credit card at 0%. It will take me a little longer to get to debt free paradise but at least the stress isn't there.

This extra hour in bed has thrown me but at least I get to catch up in diaryland. My BF neighbour has a mini farm (donkey, geese, ducks etc) no one told them about the extra hour :D

Apart from the spends above, things haven't been too bad. i'm already gearing up for Xmas and I should start my marathon training next week:T

On the weight front, I got my gold membership at WW but finding it very very hard to maintain but I will get there and once I start running again it should settle itself naturally.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning

Ok spends today £6.61:o. When I don't have my car share buddies I find myself popping into MR T. This was for water, juice and Ainsley Harriot cous cous (only 2 WW points per packet) and a slimming mag (i have to stop buying them).

We had loads of my cousins up for trick or treat last night. I ate way too much sweeties (if it is sitting in front of me it's very hard to say no:o)

My sister gave me £50 she owes me last night. She owes me more but I am surprised to see any of it. I will put it towards my credit card but will wait to see how my month pans out first.

So this is the 1st Nov and I have 7 weeks to my birthday and I want to shift 7lb. That will be a 1lb a week. I will start pointing again. :)

    Breakfast - Porridge & Raisins = 2 points = 15 left.

    Have a good day everyone

    Hi Sessie

a slip in the credit card can be detected from miles around:D . I'm watching Martin on Daybreak at the minute - he's very motivational.

Well this morning I have poured myself into a pair of Skins which are compression tights for running. I have my new orthodics in which I have been breaking in for just over a week. This is my first run in about 2 months. It's a bit like a NASA launch... one small step. So much effort to get running gear on for a really short run to test knee. Fingers crossed all goes well and I can start my marathon programme :D

Ok managed to stick to points yesterday. Today's menu should be -

    Cereal & milk - 2.5
Baked spud (I nuked it and now it's tiny) beans and a scraping of cheese - 4
Dinner - ????? too early to think about that.

Have a great morning everyone. Will see how this plod goes.

Oh dear my updating is getting very irregular. I have a mammoth work load on at the minute which should calm down by end of the week and then I can get back to my favourite hobby of juggling figures and trying to get shot of my debt:D.

I did get out for a run yesterday, only 30 mins and it was run/walk but no obviously nasty pain. My calves are tight today but will just keep stretching them.

My sister's employer has gone into administration so I'm busy drafting a cv for her. I've not done a cv for ages but doing my best. It makes you appreciate that you still have a job.

Stuck to my WW points yesterday with only a small chocolate sweet.

Today I've been hungry so I've had -

Cereal - 3, Toast and marmite 2, banana 1.5 and for lunch coucous & yoghurt (3) & an mini aero bar 1.5??? = 11. It leaves me 6 points for lunch. I'm going to Pilates later so should earn a couple of extra points.

I'm off to a wedding this weekend so trying to look my best and that my dress isn't too tight :)

    Morning all

Woke up yesterday morning (day after wedding) and I'm dosed with the cold....again. I just seem to get any bug that's going. I eat pretty healthily (except when attacked by chocolate:o) and do exercise, so you would think the cold bugs would be scared of me but not so. So today feeling pretty pants and know that it will get worse before it gets better :D.

Wedding was brilliant. It was BFs family do but once all the introductions were done I relaxed and had a good time. Didn't spend any money at all, so very MSE. All the weddings that we've been to in last few years have been on my side so I have bought pressies, hotel accommodation when necessary etc, so it was his turn.

    Spends yesterday 2.75 on papers.

My money mojo has run away. I'm not really spending anymore money but I'm not being as diligent about writing it all down. I know from past experience that I need to keep a track of where it all runs away to.

WW has a new plan started, so actually looking forward to the new plan. It might give me a bit of motivation.

Leaving work early as have doctors appointment so need to get off my butt and get in early to make up for it. Have a great day everyone :D
