woo hoo I got my arrears. I'm going to put £200 to barclaycard but not sure about the other £300 (ok i'm not rolling in money
but every little helps.
I had just over 200 emails waiting for me which wasn't so bad but because of the heat and stuffyness of the office by lunchtime i had a banging headache which didn't lift until I went to bed last night (not good).
Also I got some news on the car front basically the gearbox needs replaced. My car is 05 so really not that old but I've had so many problems with it. The garage and BF say that if its gear box problems I should just trade it in. Even if I trade it in I have no money for another car so will have to get a loan. I don't want to go down that road again as my original loan for this car is almost up. This contributed to the headache yesterday and I don't know what to do for the best.:(
Bit more positive this morning and will wait and see how much it will cost to fix. I will also see how long i can keep driving it and that might give me time to build up some savings.
I think I've blown this week spends budget and it's not even 1/2 way through week. Popped into Mr T and ended up buying some new work trousers £4 and today I'm going out to lunch with work colleagues so that will prob be another £10. Oh well it will break up the work day.
Sorry if I sound whingey today but sometimes I wish I had an oracle that would just tell me what to do for the best. :rotfl:

Evening all
Stopped at Mr T's today as I now have a cold. sniffle sniffle.
I've accepted that I have to trade car in but it doesn't have to be today and I can leave it until next year and by then I should have some savings and cleared all my debts. Fingers crossed that nothing else goes capoot and I shall carry on in that merry bubble of hope.
The car situation just reminds me that I don't have any reserves for emergencies and I'm glad I'm sorting this all out now and not sticking my head in the sand as I used to do.
I went out to lunch today with my colleagues and it was really delicious and surprisingly good craic. Unfortunately it cost £15.50 but it was a lovely day out. My office has been reduced in staff but the work has increased so we don't socialise much any more.
Spends today £15.50 lunch & £2.79 medicine = £18.29.

Sorry not been commenting much, really busy back at work and just don't have time in the evenings
I have been reading though.
Sorry to hear about your car. Have you tried asking over on the car board - SOME of them are quite helpful.
Do you have freecycle over there? You could ask there about a new TV?
Hope your knee feels better soonIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Thanks Poles, I know what it's like. i've that many subscribed threads that I quickly scan and move on. Also when your feeling disappointed its not easy. Cheers for tips and I think my BF really wants me to get a nippier car and is pushing me to get rid and really my car can last a bit longer. Will sit back and save. I've not been whittling down my debts to shoot them back up again.
Didn't get to WW or PilatesI got asked to a meeting with a senior person at 4.30 and they love the sound of their own voices. I wasn't out of the meeting to 6 and I have a 35 mile drive home. Still have sore throat and temperature so probably best I wasn't at Pilates. I did manage to get a 30 min walk in.
Watching Masterchef. I love cookery programmes. I wish I could cook. I was watching a programme earlier and they were asking how much sugar the average person ate in a month. I think it was 5 bags of sugar:eek: They also asked shoppers how much sugar was in low fat diet foods and it turned out that although it was low fat the food had a ton of sugar in it.
Knee still playing up and the London Marathon spots are out either this week or next. *Bites nervously on nails*:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi All
Sorry haven't managed to update since thursday and BF keeps lurking everytime I'm near the computer.
Anyhow haven't been an overly busy bee since last post. I've put on an appointment with physio (nhs - free) to see about my knee. I'm off to Pilates tmw and doing all the right strength exercises and stretching to strengthen this dodgy knee. I'm so happy to get into the London marathon but my brother and 2 friends didn't.
I'm in work 4 days this week and then off to Manchester to see my sis and then Alton towers (courtesy of clubcard vouchers:D).
I also sold 2 things on ebay which is now 18 quid to the marathon fund. Need flights, hotel and spending money for me and BF.
tomorrow's plans are -- sort out lunch & water for work
- Pilates
- NSD day
- print ebay invoices, wrap stuff and post

I put on a lb at WW so need to sort that out. Work yesterday was exhausting because I had a meeting a bigwig at 10am I got into work super dooper early to print of carp. The printer decided that it didn't fancy waking up. So muchos stressos.
Went to see physio/podiatrist/gait analysis expert. As you know I'm trying to sort out injured leg. Firstly he said that the previous advice i had received was incorrect. I do need orthodics but no point in getting them unless I'm prepared to put the effort in to strengthen my glutes, hamstrings, calfs and quads. I'm not to run for 2 weeks until the pain is out of my leg. I felt like he actually new what he was talking about and rather than forcing me to buy expensive orthodics he's concentrating more on strength building. Sorry when I start talking about injuries and running I tend to waffle on
Flying over with family to see sister today in Manchester and then Alton Towers tmw :j:j:j My nephews can't wait.
Debt busting going slowly but surely. I've managed a few NSD's this week but it's so easy to spend money on carp:o
Hope you all have a great weekend and shall be back on Monday:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
Just back from Manchester. We had a wonderful time.
Saved money at Alton towers by using tesco vouchers. There was loads for both nephews to do. I'm not into rides but i took nephew no1 onto 13. There is a reason I don't do amusement rides:eek::eek::eek:
Yesterday I spent £2 on papers and sweets for kids. We went out for lunch and brother in law bought lunch and i bought the drinks £16. I then spent £23 on petrol for the hire car. Overall it wasn't so bad on the spends front. We had a brilliant weekend and it didn't destroy the bank:T
I'm not in work today and am planning sorting out budgets and Xmas lists. i think i will start Xmas shopping with Nov pay. I have 2 children's b'days this month.
Plans for today
look after nephew no 2
Bike ride
Stretches (i will be doing the marathon)
food shopping list
have a good day everyone.:D:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
