Morning all
Well our wee daytrip yesterday was brilliant except for my stomach pains:(. We got the train and it was a lovely trip as the rail line runs along the beach. We walked into town across the new Peace bridge. I was wearing sandals which would usually be fine but not yesterday. OH bought me new trainers which were so much more comfortable. We went round the shops but there was nothing I needed or wanted. Typical when someone else is buying:D
OH wanted to have sushi. I went with him and had some as well - low carbing was on holiday:). We decided after lunch to walk round the walls of Derry - 1/2 way round I took indescribable stomach pains which I thought would pass but they didn't. I had to sprint (very embarrassing) to the nearest loo. The rest of the day was fine.
I still have stomach pains this morning. Every now and again my stomach plays up but now it looks like it could have been the rice all along but I don't know. All I can say is - it really hurt.
Spends yesterday -£3.50 on socks for new trainers.
£2.99 on magazines as had to wait ages for last train.
Todays plans - not sure. Feel like I just want to stay in bed.
My Craghoppers fleece turned up and it is very snuggly:):jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

What did you think of the Craghoppers fleece? Mine arrived on friday but it is shedding white fluff everywhereI have washed it twice and it is still doing it......
Congratulations on becoming an auntie again :beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hi Poles, Thanks, my niece is adorable and already has her own pink wellies (farming family)
The fleece is very fluffy but it's gorgeous.
Well this is the last update for a wee while. I'm off on my holidays. We fly out Monday morning to Turkey for a couple of weeks. I'm not packed at all but I need to do a stack of ironing - not so good. OH is exhausted and said that he plans on doing nothing except lying by the pool. I know him too well and that will last for maybe a day.
When I get back I need to track the pennies and get some savings. My holiday syndicate won some money on the lottery last week so it worked out at £110 each. :T I'm putting it into the Xmas holiday funds.
Today's plans - ironing, ironing, ironing and then cleaning the house. I hate coming back to an untidy house.
Have fun

Hi all
I'm back:D
Holiday was fantastic but I think next year we will try somewhere else - just time for a change.
i'm off to Italy next weekend so the money situation is v v v tight but worth it. I have a lot of spends coming up between now and Xmas and I therefore need to start planning and saving.
Things I need to budget for
- Trip to Italy (7 Oct - accom (90 euro & spending);
- New cooker (£300 - £400);
- Flights to Manchester for sis's graduation in Dec (£130ish + spending);
- various b'day pressies;
- Xmas.
I need to have a look at budget and get a reign on spending. I'm going to do an update SOA and see where that leaves me.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

I guess I better start of with an SOA and see where I can find money for my life and future savings.
SOA - Oct 11
Salary - £1598
Outgoings - Debts
Mortgage - £300
Charity - £15
Rates - £81
Mobile (3) - £21 - 23
TV licence - £12.50
BT & Broadband - £39 (I need to shop around as this has crept up)
Petrol - £200
Oil - £80
Outgoings - Savings
Credit Union - £100
National D - £20
General savings for car etc - £100
Xmas - £40
Holiday - £50
Outgoings (other)
Entertainment/fitness - £80
Groceries/clothes - £200
Total outgoings - £1340.50
Surplus - £257.50
I have this surplus now as I don't have my crappy cards to pay. I think I will put £200 towards my general savings to cover all the anticipated spends up to Xmas which should leave me £50 to put into my Isa. After Xmas I would like to put the £200 into my ISA. I will start keeping a spending chart here as well
Sorry for the long ramble but it's nice to put things down on my diary.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi all
Well I'm just back from italy and had a fantastic time. This has been such an expensive month and with 2 hols and my car getting a service £130, I think it time to pull in the reigns and knuckle down to some serious money saving. I did have a wonderful break and it's back to work tomorrow.
I overestimated my spends on the last message and I'm going to have
£230 on clothes/entertainment and fitness rather than £280.
I have very little money until the end of the month but that's to be expected really. I don't want to dip into my savings and I will just see how I get on.
So far today I have been busy -- unpacked holiday stuff and now on 2nd load of washing;
- went to Mr T's for shopping as cupboard was very bare ( spent £97 but that includes soap powder, fabric softener, etc)
- cleaned and hoovered house;
- and prepared for work tomorrow.
I still have to do my exercise on my dodgy knee, and pick up my nephew from the baby sitter but it's now time to relax for a little bit.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi all,
money is a bit tight so will have to jot down all my spends from now on.
Spends today -
- £17 nieces birthday present
- £20 nephews b'day pressie.
That is the end of the birthdays until January, I hope. I have a christening coming up and I'm not sure if I have to buy a christening present for her as I've already bought her a baby pressie.
I gave £10 to work for the deposit for the Xmas lunch and £40 into the Xmas fund.
This week I have my circuits class and slimming class (trying again:D), will take nephews swimming on thursday. I will be very lucky if I get away with spending £40 this week. I'm determined not to touch my piddly savings.
Today has been sort of productive - I had to power hose my running trainers as I trod in dog poo yesterday:mad:. Then I hoovered out my car. Tidied my house and now just waiting for OH to get home before starting dinner
I went to work nurse this week as they offer a MOT service so they were happy with all the tests they put me through except for my cholesterol. It wasn't ideal but they advised me to get another test at the doctors just in case.
OH is working tomorrow so I will go for a run, then mass, read Sunday papers and meet up with girly friends tomorrow night after they have a christening. I will be on the Diet cokes because I'm working the next day and because it's cheaper.
Have a great evening everyone

Sunday evening - why does the weekend go so fast?:(
Heading out in an hour to meet girly friends, I'm very comfy inside but I better go as I'm sure it will be good craic.
Spends today £3.49 on papers and milk for my mum. I've made my lunch for tomorrow and now i have to sort out my work clothes as I am meeting friends for a run early in the morning. I will get changed in the gym and head on to work. If I don't get organised I'll probably forget something vital (I forgot my bra once and had to buy a new one in asda:o).
I'm in work 3 days this week and then on a 2 day training course. My boss is leaving this week so i have tons of things to do before he goes. Busy busy busy.
Have a good week everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi all
£2.80 spent yesterday on diet coke. I wasn't really looking forward to going out last night but so glad I did. I haven't laughed so much in a while.
Today I gave £5 to a work charity collection and I have a another collection to give to tomorrow. It's all money.

Yesterday I spent £1.55 on paper and not sure what else and then I put another £5 into a leaving do collection.
Today I spent £4.39 on lunch, paper and biscuits for work.
I must stop frittering, I must stop frittering.
Lunch is being paid for by work for next two days:T as I'm on a training course.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
