Cheers poles, it will be fantastic to be debt free. You'll soon be under the £1000 target:)

Well today I moved money from credit union savings into my windows loan and it is now clear :j:j:j. It still leaves me £408 in the credit union which I will add to each month (well that's the plan :) ). I raided the sealed pot last night which i put my £2 coins and odds and sods in and there was £164 in it!! I put £140 of it straight into my ISA account today otherwise I would have probably started to fritter it away. I've left the other £24 in my piggy bank and will continue to add to it during the rest of the year.

This just leaves me £263 to pay to Barclaycard at the end of the month and then the challenge will be to stay debt free and put money into savings pots. I will enjoy being debt free for a wee bit first :D

    Morning all

Well, although I am all excited to be sneaking up on my DF date I've had a look at the finances for the rest of the month and it isn't looking good :o

I have £104 to my name which is usually fine but I have a few things that I need to pay out for before pay day.

    17th - Bootcamp £10
    18th, 20th, 24th & 26th circuits - £12
25th lunch with ex colleagues - £15 ish
    26th dentist - £30 ish
    Total = £67ish

So that leaves me with £37 to get me through this weekend and next  It's my nephews birthday on the 27th but I get paid that day so I will count it into next months spends.

It can be done but it's terrible to be wishing a month away just to get my hands on my pay cheque :)

    Plans today:

    • go for a run
    • list some jeans n stuff on ebay
    • stay away from Next sale:)
    • do ironing mountain
    • tidy house.
That should keep me on my toes today. I am tempted by the next sale but I really don't need anything else. Well I will keep repeating that to myself.

    have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

Well I'm up early and eating my porridge. In 20 mins I will be heading out to Bootcamp. However it is absolutely blowing a gale outside and bucketing down so me thinks I'm going to get very damp this morning :)

Bootcamp costs £10 but it is so worth it. I can already feel everything starting to be less wobbly:)

So plans for today (now that I've seen the weather is) -
    • put on dishwasher
    • Bootcamp
    • return parcel to shop and buy paper £1.50;
    • give bf's house a clean.
I made £2.88 yesterday - every little helps and I have a watcher on ebay already

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

I'm about to get up and take on another day :) Thank goodness it's Friday.

Well so far this week i've spent £23.99 on odds and sods so that's not too bad. I received a cheque in the post from my insurance company for £60 which was an introductory offer they were doing.

I ordered a pile of stuff from Next which I received on Tues but it was all hideous so had to go back. I thought I could get at least 1 or 2 things in their sale but unfortunately not so it's all back in the shop. So no spends there except for postage.

I've taken out money to last me the weekend and next week and its all pretty tight but I will see it as a challenge. I'm assuming that the dentist on monday will be nothing more than a check up and clean (fingers crossed).

This week has been pretty boring but next week should be a bit better as I have dinner lined up with the girls. I get paid on wed and I will pay off my B card that day rather than waiting for the direct debt to go out a week later :)

    Have a great day everyone.

Well as soon as I've finished typing on here then I'm putting on my running gear and going for a jog round the forest. I met a deer last week - I don't know which one of us was the more surprised.

After that I'm heading over to the shops to return some trousers that are half way up my leg and also to deposit the insurance companies £60 cheque. I will also pop into Mr Ts for my groceries.

Quick tidy of the house and that's all the plans I have today.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all

This is a bit of a copy and paste job from the weekly spend challenge thread :)

Today I met friends for lunch which came to £12 and then BF rang to invite me out on his boat this beautiful evening and could I pop into chinese and offy on way over - not so good.

Anyhow spends today £19.20, so grand total so far this week £52/£100

i anticipate for the rest of the week - £5 at circuits tmw and £25 at cinema on thursday (i'm treating my Mum and nephews). Friday night will be about £15. I will be cutting it very fine.

However once my paycheck goes in tonight.. I will be DEBT FREE!!!!!!!. Is it sad to sit up to 12.01 to pay off my final credit card??? It could be and I like my sleep too much

Will be up early tomorrow to usher in the Debt free days.:D:D:D:D:D:D:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Morning all

I have made my final payment to Barclaycard.....EVER!!!!!! However it wont go out of my account for a couple of days so I don't feel that I'll be debt free until all my balances say zero:D

    Ok plans for today -
    • get up (could be a challenge)
    • work
    • circuits
    • collapse

My future plans in DEBT FREE land is
    • to stay debt free
    • stick with weekly spend challenge
    • Save as much as I can
    • start the dreaded Shred (8 weeks to hols)

I have my MRI appointment next Wed and hopefully after that I will have a miracle cure for my dodgy knee and be back out on the roads running.

I will now watch my bank account for the Bcard payment to go out:)

:j:jMy B'card payment has gone out..:j so that is me DEBT FREE

However, car is playing up and I took it in yesterday and i need a new valve which costs £96 + vat and £41 for labour:mad: I do have some savings to do this but I plan on having a bigger cushion of money so I don't have to keep raiding my wee savings each time something like this comes up.

Went to cinema last night, it was a special treat for my nephews and I took my mum. (They have parent problems) It cost ....£25.20 for 4 tickets as it was H Potter in 3 d and then we went to Burger King, again this was a special treat and as both boys wanted chicken burgers I had to get them adult meals - £20!!!!!!!! for 4 meals. I know that I sound like a tight wad but it just is such a money racket. Finally my mum said she was would buy them sweets at cinema. I only ever buy them popcorn and sneak in drinks in my bag:o. Mum hasn't been to the cinema in 10 years so she got them drinks, popcorn & pick and mix and it came to £15. It was a fantastic night but it just annoys me that they can get away with these prices. Rant over.

    Have a great day everyone.:)
