. I'm kind of obsessed with the preparing for winter thread and so far have the things that attach to your boots to stop you slipping on the ice. I've also started stocking piling cans etc and extra coal.
This evening as I was reading the thread they had a link to a lovely Craghoppers fleece for £12 and while was I in the site I saw some trousers down to £14 + postage. I may return them if they aren't suitable. See it's so easy to spend money:o:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Was that the white fleece? I looked at that. It's gorgeous. I don't have anything like that and I am one of those peple who looks dreadful alltogged up in the snow - I never look stylish
Will you feel better about it if I order it too???
I love that thread - I like the idea of getting all cosy and ready for winter. I'll be buying flannellette sheets next! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Afternoon all,
Today so far has been a great day in work, I know shock/horror:D. I have had a few things hanging over my head in work that I decided today was the day to sort them. It turned out they were a lot less painful than I thought it was going to be and I wish I had sorted it out sooner rather than worrying about it.
Frittering front still not good - £4.79 spent on breakfast, paper and lunch. Tomorrow I'm going to do a shop and put food in my cupboards for lunches next week. Ok that's the challenge from now on lunches will be made at home (apart from going out to lunch with colleagues and sneaky chocs).
Today is my 4 year dating anniversary and I'm going to pop to Asda/Mr Ts and get a mini bottle of champers. OH is working overtime this weekend so that will have to do.
i think tonight's anniversary meal is pizza n champers (sparkling wine). :rotfl::jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi Poles, isn't it amazing how fast the time goes in? Hope you are doing something nice this evening. Have you got your flannellette sheets yet? I hope the fleece is as nice as it looks on the website. I have 2 other craghoppers tops which are now badly faded but they were lovely and cosy. You're right I do feel less guilty whe I have a spendy buddy:D,
We are preparing for winter so it is money saving by spending money (my logic). I now need heavy winter curtains for 2 rooms and a door curtain and I want the best and the cheapest. My winter coal has arrived courtesy of my brother who has opened his own grocery shop - i didn't realise he had links to coal. I will be sending him to cash n carry now with my demands:D
Not sure if I mentioned but had such an embarrassing run in with the post man. I ordered a strapless bra for my hols and it arrived in post however the bag it was in was torn so bra and torn bag were in a clear Royal Mail bag. I'm quite generous in the bra department and they are usually heavy duty scaffolding bras. The postman practically fired the thing at me:o:o:o I think OH will be getting any parcels from postman from now on.
Pizza was cancelled last night as OH made me a lovely 2 course dinner (i thought he had forgotten). It was 2 courses as he new I'm on a mission to get into my bikini in 3 weeks and 2days time:D
On way home from work I spent £3.19 on a small bottle of pretend champers so yesterday's spends were -
£4.79 on frittering food & £3.19 on pretend champers = £7.98.
Today's plans are -
- to head to the forest now for a run. I've downloaded 8 jeff galloway running podcasts (free) and have only listened to 2.
- Do a good shop that will stop me raiding the lunchtime van. i also need to get diesel
- clean out car
- tidy up house.
That should keep me busy:) Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
Up early today as it's Bootcamp day. Only 2 more bootcamps before holiday:) . I'm busy drinking coffee to try and get me more alert but it ain't working.
Managed to get some of list sorted yesterday -
- [STRIKE]to head to the forest now for a run. I've downloaded 8 jeff galloway running podcasts (free) and have only listened to 2[/STRIKE].- gorgeous morning and a lovely run.
- [STRIKE]Do a good shop that will stop me raiding the lunchtime van. i also need to get diesel[/STRIKE] - £42.65 on shopping in Asda and then £42.38 on diesel
- clean out car
- [STRIKE]tidy up house[/STRIKE].
I still have to tidy out my car and do my ironing. If i get that done today I will be happy. I got my shopping done which included washing powder but have just realised this morning that I'm out of dishwasher tablets and coffee. I also spent £18 in B&M bargains. I went in to see if they had sheets and de icer. Unfortunately I went with my mum and came out with stockpile of beans, teatowels, biscuits and a breadbin for her house. I couldn't let her pay for it as she's done loads for me over the years.
Spends yesterday £103.03 but there's nothing I can do about diesel and I would be hardpressed to reduce the grocery shop. It's a lot of money. but should keep me going for a while.
I better head to bootcamp. Have a lovely day everyone:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all,
I'm off work today because of the bank holiday but forgot to turn off my alarm:o. However (thinking of the positives) it gives me a longer day.
Bootcamp was great yesterday, I haven't been at circuits in 2 weeks because of cold/flu/sister visit and it wasn't on last week. It showed!!!! my muscles were protesting a lot:D.
£10 spent on bootcamp and that was it:T. Todays plans????? not sure.
Will probably buy the papers on my way to my mum's later and I might take her out today but can't go to shops otherwise I will spend money - not good.
Preparing for winter - I was looking at thermal curtains but they are very expensive, so I'm going to buy thermal linings and hope for the best. I've seen them in Argos but I will buy them after my hols. I still need a door curtain. My brother is cutting down some trees so I have got a tree for firewood. I think I'll be chopping that after my hols - Joy.
I will read a few more diaries and then pop into the shower.

Morning all, I'm dosed with the cold again. I must be run down as this is the 2nd cold in the last 3 weeks.
Went to work yesterday but I spent the day in a bit of a fog with this head cold. I had promised to meet a friend for a quick run after work and i didn't want to back out. I managed it and it unblocked my nose for about 2 minutes:D
I started a low carb diet a couple of weeks ago and lost 2lb the first week and nothing the 2nd but to be honest I wasn't really committed. I've started it again properly yesterday. I've put on about 10lbs since I last achieved my target. I know how I did it -sweets and treats. I'm hoping to lose 7lb before my hols in 3weeks.
I have a circuits class tonight and hopefully will feel ok later to attend:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
Well the cold has almost gone but I've been left with a coldsore. going to have to pop to chemist later as I can't find my coldsore cream.
Today is day 5 of officially following low carb diet. OH knows that I'm low carbing but doesn't understand it. He made chicken jalfrezi with rice and bread last night. I didn't want to offend so I ate the chicken and some rice but didn't touch any bread:D. I ended up with awful shooting pains in my stomach
Today we are going on a train journey. There is a gorgeous train journey along the coast to L'Derry and he really wants to do it as the line is closing for 4 years for repairs. I don't mind, it's a nice journey with a fab shopping town at the end and he is treating me:T
On the money front, I've just become an auntie again on wednesday night to a wee girl so spent £19 on new baby clothes and £1.50 on a card and wrapping yesterday. other than buying the papers this week I've been fairly good. I must remember to update diary with actual spends.
Ok away to make sausages, mornings are the only part of this low carb diet I struggle with. I can't eat eggs as they make me sick so it's usually bacon and cheese for breakfast.
