    Morning all

I've been awake since 4.20am:eek:. We have moved into the new building but as I'm in co-ordinating everything I go to bed at night with a list of things buzzing in my head. I am absolutely loving it but just so much to do:D

Because I have been sooo busy I've not spent any of my own money:D:). I've had to buy bits and bobs for the office until i get an account set up for the building and I can claim that all back. I've managed 4 NSDs in a row which is a first.

I'm going to jump in the shower and then have a LARGE coffee:). i have to hit Asda on way to work to buy more cleaning products. Cleaners not starting to Monday (they were asked to start yesterday). I'm not going to polish the place but just to get the kitchen cleaned.

I'm keeping a nosy out for another free listing weekend on E-bay as I have cleared out the wardrobe and I'll try e-bay before recycling it.

On money front I'm owed £30 ish pounds from Topcashback and £60 from my insurance company. We also got a letter in work to say that we will have our arrears (due from Aug past) in our pay in June. I think but saying it quietly in case I jinx myself that I could be DEBT FREE at the end of June.

Hope you all have a good Friday 13th

Glad work is going so well. Oh to have a fulfilling job!

I missed the last free listing day on ebay because I stupidly don't check my emails too often...duh! I have some stuff I can sell.

Take it easy now - you don't want to burn yourself out ;)

Cheers Poles - It's all a bit hectic but I don't mind. It's a change from bored and fed up with work. I came home from work tonight and wrote a list of things i have to do on Monday. The plan is that if I write it down it won't buzz round in my head and annoy my weekend.

Right todays spends were £2.85, I almost had an NSD and that would have been a shocking 5 in a row but not to be as fancied a yoghurt and BF wanted Diet Coke.

I've actually placed a bid on a top on e-bay. My bid is £1 and postage is £2. I'm not planning on increasing my bid to any more than £2. It closes tomorrow and no one else has placed a bit but you never know. I was only looking at e-bay to give myself a guesstimate on what i should price my own clothes at. Typical I spend money rather than making it :o

    Tomorrow's plans -
    • go for run;
    • try to get hairdressing appt (look like a lion);
    • go shopping for baby pressie for BF's friend and 2 year old b'pressie for nephew.
Will do my best not to spend too much but I hate feeling like a scrounge.

Anyhow off to bed. hopefully I shall make it past 5 before something buzzes into my head.

    Morning all

My posts are getting very infrequent but I'm staying on top of my challenges. May was a very frugal month due to being constantly in work which is no bad thing :).

I've set myself up for a number of challenges this month - Lose 7lb and 14 NSDs. I joined the lose 7lb challenge last month and lost nothing:o but I'm joining a Rosemary C class near work and hopefully that should keep me motivated (£30 for 4 classes and registration - money already set aside).

I'm starting to come down with a cold again and feeling a bit delicate. I finally got an appointment letter for my knee/hip and I just need to ring the hospital first thing in the morning to confirm the appointment. i also saw a Groupon offer for £7 for 7 boot camp classes near my new work. I'm tempted as I'm one of those people who needs to be bossed at.

So anyway it's a lovely bank holiday morning so far and I have a number of challenges to address.

I've set myself a challenge of spending no more than £140 this month and that includes everything apart from diesel. I should get my arrears at the end of June and some of that will go towards my holiday.

So out of the £140 I need to set aside -
    • 5 x £4.00 = pilates classes = 20
    • 1 x £10.00 birthday pressie
which really leaves me £110 to live on this month....gulp. There will be nothing left in the store cupboard by the end of June.

I'm not sure how much my arrears comes to - hopefully £300. I was going to put it towards my debts but a tiny part of my doesn't want to do that so maybe I will split it 50/50 and put some of it towards debts and some of it towards me. I would love a manicure & pedicure coming into summer.

Anyway enough waffle and time to hit the shower. I will also try to update more regularly. I feel like I'm on the final stretch of this debt busting :D as I just dipped under the final £1000 mark:T

    Thanks for reading

    Mary

    Hi all

I'm not the best at updating this diary but it's always good for my thoughts and a kick up the bum when I need it :D

I've been to docs with knee & hip. I had an xray which showed up an issue with my hip but I now need an MRI for my knee and that could be another 2 months but I'll get there eventually:)

On money front - not good. I've been a spending monster recently but yesterday I pulled the reins in and took stuff back to the shop that wasn't really me and was a tad snug. I've also spent this morning listing stuff on E-bay and yesterday I listed some dvds and books on Amazon and 1 has already sold.

I had hoped to be debt free this month but it looks like it could be the end of August before that happens which is still great.

i have to get a grip with my spending. I don't spend tons but I am impulsive so I need to calm that down. I have £30 cash to last me to payday in 10 days time:eek:. I have my savings but don't want to dip into them.

On the positive front, I have £100 in my holiday spends account and £300 in normal savings and a grand total of £30 in my work Xmas fund (I've only just started saving in that fund).

If I hadn't found this forum when I did I wouldn't be anywhere near paying off my debt.

I have most of my plans done for today - food shopping, clean house, list e-bay items and take stock of money. Done:)

Monday morning again :) It does come around a bit too often

Ok on money front things are tight until payday. I have enough food to last me until pay day but it's all the little things that sneak in. I'm out at a bbq this weekend coming and that could be expensive - it's a charity do. However I know its coming up and just have to be sensible.

I have listed 6 items on e-bay and all but 1 have watchers and 2 have bids already :T. I've listed 5 things on Amazon and 2 have already sold, so I will pop out to post office at lunchtime.

I applied to open an ISA with Santander yesterday with £5, once I'm Debt free at end of August I will set up a DD to transfer money used for debts into savings pot. Until then I will put in any extra pennies into that pot.

Ok shower, breakfast and lets hit the road.

:j Success on e-bay. I have 1 listing still to close tomorrow but my total so far is... drum roll please... £73.21. Obviously once fees come out of that it will probably be under just under £70. I'm also assuming that those that have won the items will pay:). I have also sold 4 items on Amazon and at the moment I have £12 in my amazon account. So approx £20 of that money is going to a new bikini i have my eye on for my hols but the other £50 will be winging it's way to my ISA.

It's nice to have money coming in rather than going out:) and starting to put money into ISA. I know that I should put my money towards debts but I'm not paying interest on those debts at the minute and I would like to build a bit of a comfort credit in case times get tough.

Of out tonight to charity do with a hog roast:) and really looking forward to it. I've finally learnt about frugal times as I've faked tanned myself and done my own eyebrows which saved me £27. I don't go out a lot and when I do I like to make an effort.

No real plans today. I have Monday off so I'm going to post all my packages then and do a spritz on the house. Today is a mini tidy of house and tomorrow will hopefully be a lovely relaxing day with FI, sunday papers etc.

I can't wait until I'm debt free and won't feel bad for every spend:)

Hope you all have a good weekend

    Ooh I love hog roast!

Well done on all the ebay sales. It's a lovely feeling isn't it? I have a couple of gig tickets ending in about 20 minutes and already have one bid on them :) It's not for me though, it's for my other half so i will have to give the money to him but am glad they are selling so he can make some of his money back.

    Morning all:)

Where does the time go to? I can't believe we're mid way through July. I'm off today as it's a Public holiday overhere in N Ireland and I will give BF another hour before dragging him out of bed.:)

Money front - I have £643 left to pay off my debt and then I'm debt free. I have managed to put money aside in my credit union account and I know that they prefer people to take out a loan rather than their savings but I'm going to take out £400 out of my savings this friday and pay off my windows loan. Then the money that would usually go to the windows £200 is going towards the B'card at the end of July and that will mean that I will be debt free:T and all my money will belong to me:D

It doesn't seem very real at the minute as I've probably been in debt of some description since I started uni at 19.

I've been trying to calculate what I will do in August (debt free) with the extra savings but I have a holiday in Sept (£50 put away each month for spends) and I need to pay the balance. I also have a trip away in Oct for the running club and owe £80 for hotel and need to find spending money.

I think my money breakdown will be clearer after my trip in Oct but this is the plan for then -

    Household bills - £943
    Spends account - £250
Savings - Xmas - £30 (paid through work)
Holiday spends - £50 (being doing this last 3 months)
    General savings - £200
    Long term Isa - £250
    National dep - £20
Credit Union - £100 (already doing)

Total = £1843. I'm not sure what my pay will be as we were paid arrears last month but I think at the end of August it should be £1860.

A plan always looks good its just sticking to it that I have a problem with :o. I've given myself extra spends money in this budget to try and ensure that I don't slip into debt and start old habits again. The spends diary is being dusted off properly again.

I will update on friday when I see how I get on at the credit union.

    have a good day everyone.

:T to almost being debt free. The end is in sight! I looked at my cc bill the other day and saw that it has now dropped below £2k so I am quite pleased with that. In a few days it will be even lower. I really must get back to PADding because that was really helping me but I transferred balances about 4 months ago and haven't set the new card up at the bank so I can make direct payments to it. Must do that...
