:j:j Announcement: I got the job :j:j:j
I saw the guy who interviewed me today and he asked me if I was considering his offer. I was a bit confused as I hadn't got an offer. He had told his Human Resources dept to tell my HR dept on Thurs that the job was mine if I wanted it. Suffice to say no one had told me. I don't care i'm soooo happy. I had to try to be calm and act collected.
The job isn't a promotion but it will be less travelling with more responsibility. My mum said that my dad would have been so proud. i didn't expect that ... so very chuffed.
Spends front £39.36 on petrol. I just had it in my head that I was not spending £40 on petrol. It's absolutely mad and the £39.36 will only do me a week.
So plans this week - start typing up process maps for whoever is taking over my job. Start finishing my work. Try not to look too keen about getting into my new job.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
Challenge - Sealed pot #19 - £16; Debts - Credit card - £978.36
Savings - CU- £808; Xmas - £210, ISA - £160; Holiday fund 2012) - £xx; Car - £50; General:£50 Total- £12780 -
My work colleagues have been absolutely lovely about my leaving. Only problem I have is that my line manager is being a pain on my release date. it will get sorted but I would rather move sooner than later.
Also some good news on money front. I bought my BF an ipod at Xmas but it wasn't really his thing. I returned it by recorded delivery and heard nothing from Amazon. i contacted them and they asked for the tracking number. Unfortunately i have looked everywhere for the receipt but it has vanished:eek: I even went to my local post office to see if they could help but they don't keep detailed records. I emailed Amazon yesterday and they emailed back with a response which explained their return policy i.e. we need the parcel to do a refund. however they said that they would make an exception and have initiated a refund:T yeah for Amazon.
Everything is going so well - what's going to go wrong???????
I don't have loads of plans today - just very boring work stuff.
Spends front - about £30 in Mr Ts on groceries yesterday. I need to dig out the receipt
no planned spends today so fingers crossed:)
I got my car tax reminder in for the end of the month. They would like £125 - gulp:eek:
Have a good day everyone:D:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Evening everyone,
Today is a NSD ...finally. I keep losing out on NSDs by buying small things like milk etc which I need.
I got a call on my mobile from an automated debt voice. It was a recorded message asking if I was in debt and needed help. I have help thank you very much and it's called MSE:D. I wonder how they got my mobile???
Things still ticking along nicely in work, unfortunately no word on when I can leave.
My lovely BF has arranged for us to go away next week to a lovely hotel (it's only for 1 night as we both have things to do) which has a pool, gym and sauna. Last time he booked me into the beauticians to be pampered. He takes these notions and I'm not going to say no when he's funding it:D
I keep thinking today's thurs but I still have 2 more days to go.
Plans for tmw -- work;
- take nephews to swimming pool[
- ironing;

Afternoon all
Just back in from a lunchtime run and am a bit flushed:p. I've just ate a lovely healthy chicken salad with a tiny bit of coleslaw (i have to make it edible) which was lovely.
Spends front - £3.60 yesterday at swimming pool. I now have a voucher card which cost me nothing but means that I only have to pay for me when we go to the pool :T.
Job front - I start on valentines day in my new job. It gives me plenty of time to finish my work here and prepare for new start. It will be strange being the new girl again.
I don't have a lot of plans for this weekend but I need to sort out my wardrobe and get my suits out and dust the cobwebs of them for this new job.
Anyhow, lunchtime is nearly over and I'm here to 5. I better get busy.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all,
Kettle is on for my morning coffee.
I've just spent this morning updating my efforts on my MSE challenges. I've actually got money in my purse and money in my account. Ok not much money in either but it's a first.
Spends yesterday:- 2.34 bread & D Coke for BF
- 2.79 on cheapo wine (tastes vile but was only for a casserole).
- 1.50 chicken salad (too lazy to make own lunch:o)
Today's plans are-- shopping (boring groceries;
- ironing;
- tidying;
- buy a baby pressie for friend.
This week I'm only in work 3 days and out and about at meetings on thurs and Friday I'm heading off to a lovely hotel to be pampered.
BF is also taking me out tomorrow night for dinner. Not sure what's going on there but not complaining.
I got money back from Amazon for BFs present but he is insistent I keep it and use it for his birthday in April. So it looks like he will only be getting one big present this year. It's all money in the pot and very good of him.

Evening all
Well haven't got round to updating recently as I've had so much on. Good news pay day tmw :j
Spends this week £7.99 on a spacehopper for my nephew's 4th birthday. I'm going back to my childhood:D
I also spent £2.10 on a sarnie at work. I think they over charged me but didn't check at the time. I know I should have bought my own but there was nada in the cupboards this morning. honest.
Going to meet new colleagues tmw so have spent ages dithering over what to wear. First impressions and all that.
Going to bed early so that I will hopefully have a good nights sleep. I will let you know how I get on tmw.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
I have been so shattered these last few days. I haven't had much sleep which so isn't like me. I made up for it this morning though.
Well I met new colleagues and they were lovely however the job is going to be very "challenging" , well that's what they kept saying. I think the job is going to be tough but interesting and i will be kept on my toes which is really what I want.
I'm trying to find some smart new blouses for the job but at very cheap prices. I think I'll pop into tescos and primark this week.
Friday my BF and his mates went away to a nice hotel but it was all so rushed and the room was far too hot. I couldn't open the window so couldn't get any sleep.
I need to shake myself up again on the money front. I got my sarnies mainly in the canteen this week and it all adds up.
I have set myself £35 budget on the weekly spends challenge and will try to stick to it.
Plans today - more coffee.
Plans tomorrow -- finalising work
- clear out desk
- sneak in a quick run.
Spending next 1/2 hour reading diaries and then on to tidying house.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Thanks Poles. Hope everything is going well with you.
I just want to leave work now and start new job.. I feel a bit lost at minute as work is starting to bypass me but that's to be expected.
I managed to make it out for a run at lunchtime today and it was lovely. I also managed my first NSD of Feb. I messed it up big time in January by buying little things each day rather than planning ahead.
Ok before 'My big fat Gipsy wedding' comes on I need to get work stuff ready for tmw and make my lunch. I'm trying to get as many NSDs as possible this month.
Have a good evening everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
