Well done on the spends and great willpower in Next :T
I haven't been for a run since about the third week in November  so what with the snow and now this cold it will be about 6 weeks by the time I get out again. I will really suffer I think.
Hope the situation with your knee improves. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Morning all - happy New Year's Eve:D
Poles - the bad weather really messed up my running. I did try the treadmill but then the weather got so bad it was a struggle making it into work never mind making it to gym.
I'm going to join the NSD challenge for January when it appears to try and curtail spending.
Yesterday I had to buy sticks for fire, as our usual man crashed his lorry last week in snow and I haven't seen him for a while - (I give mum money for food and sticks etc at beginning of month)
Sticks - 10
Popped into b&q and got a small xmas tree and decorations for next year at 2.00.
Today I'm taking both nephews to the cinema but it will give my Mum a break and will be worth every penny. Will crafitly buy some sweets and sneak them in but there is no way I can get round the popcorn stand without buying some for them.Probably won't get much change from 20 quid but we shall see.
Purse - 51.68 ( need this to stretch for at least a week and a 1/2).
Not sure if it will stretch very far considering I'm going to cinema and it's New Year's eve.
I have my spends diary all ready to go for 2011.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
Challenge - Sealed pot #19 - £16; Debts - Credit card - £978.36
Savings - CU- £808; Xmas - £210, ISA - £160; Holiday fund 2012) - £xx; Car - £50; General:£50 Total- £12780 -
Make your own popcorn! I always do - sprinkle it with icing sugar or choclate nesquik!!
Have a lovely day with your nephews and Happy New Year!!:beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Cheers Poles - Happy New Year to you to.
Back from cinema - it is rediculously easy to spend money:o
Cinema - 1 adult & 2 children = £12.50!!!
small popcorn & small drink x 2 = £7.90!!!
McD's 2 happy meals & a burger for auntie - £10.??
General spends - £2.14 papers & milk for mum;£10.20 alkihol for tonight & £7 groceries
Total spends = £49.74. So basically I have £1.94 left from my weeks budget.:o
My justification is that it was a whole day treat for the boys and happens very rarely.
Tomorrow is 2011 and hopefully there will be very few slip ups. From my months budget I have £181.61. I will see how I get on with that for the rest of the month - gulp
Happy New Year everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all - Happy New Year
I had a lovely evening with BF - Indian (his treat) & lots of wine. Don't feel too bad on hangover front but it's going to take a bit longer to achieve anything today:D Had to check mobile to make sure I didn't join in drunken text ramblings.:D
2011 has started of well on money front as BF has given me £5 towards the drink last night. Every penny counts:D
I have my money spreadsheet ready and raring to go.
I am now going to squeeze myself into my leggings and go for a run.
Have a great day everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
I've been up and about for a while but no idea how i'm going to get out of bed for work on Tues morning.:D
Went for run yesterday and my leg is playing up big time today. I've made the decision to defer my London Marathon place as I just can't run injury free at the minute. I want to run london and enjoy every minute of it. The last 2 marathons I've done I've been up to 10 miles before I've even started training and at the minute I'm struggling to run 2 miles consistently. I really don't want to defer but I'm being realistic. I will spend this year strengthening and building up slowly. 2012 will be my year.:D
Spends front, I spent £2.76 in Mr Ts yesterday. Will try for an NSD today. My house is coming down with fruit courtesy of Mum. She says she's starting her diet tmw so it will be healthy eating all the way. Well for at least 2 weeks.
BF is outside washing my car. Don't ask me why but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.
Going for a hike now. Have a good day everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
I had my first NSD of 2011 yesterday:j. I read on one of the other threads that we should treat money saving as a full time job. Which to me sounded quite good.
I spent last night working out my budget for the year but I think it needs tweaked a bit today. I love tweaking budgets - sad I know.
Plans today -- shower
- return dress to Next
- clean house
- prepare for tmw
- read lots more diaries on MSE:D
- try for NSD no 2
- hoover car in preparation for back to work reality.

Afternoon all,
Back in work and it's not soo bad. Had mini crisis last night when I remembered something I had forgotten to do before Xmas but all sorted now:)
I'm so sad but I made a £1 payment to B'card today just to bring it down under 1400. So it's now £1399:D
Spends today - 85p on milk for tea club. These NSDs are hard to come by.
I bought conditioner last week as I needed it and it was on special offer. This isn't always a good thing as now my back and neck are red and inflamed. I find it difficult using other brands. I will have to buy my own brand, so not really money saving in the end:o but I tried.
I have own lunch with me today and will try and make my own every day to save more money.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Morning all
Still scratching away this morning. i know it's not nice but it's good to share:p
All my direct debits went out in 1 go yesterday because of the bank holiday. It's scary when it all goes out like that.
I've just realised as I'm now an avid watcher of every penny that my 0% Barclaycard term runs out on the 28 April. I need to find £1399 in the next 4 months salary. I know I could balance transfer again but by tightening my belt this is achievable. It just wont be fun. So the mission is that by 28 April I will have no credit card debt and no car loan.
May, June & July will be to pay off my windows.
No spends today .... so far and no plans to spend.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
