Forgot to say that on way home from cinema, i had already dropped one nephew home, there was a lorry on its side on the roundabout. It was carrying a load of chickens and they were strewn across the verge. Some of the chicken crates were on their side and some chickens were wondering round the road. However the accident had just happened as someone had the lorry driver in the recovery position on the road. So really my rant about money is nothing compared to that poor mans evening.
Thank goodness nephew no 2 only saw the birds and not the injured driver:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Almost ready for bed
I have to be up early as I have bootcamp in the morning. I went for a run with a work colleague and she was so much fitter than me and I'm really suffering for it today with stiff joints:o
I've been playing with my signature as I want to have funds for various bills that go out. I've got -- Xmas pot (£30 a month at minute),
- holiday pot (£200 at minute as going to Italy & Turkey in Sept & Oct but reduce that amount down after hols);
- Isa pot (eventually £200 but at minute just whatever I have lefover at the end of the month);
- and I think I've just created a car pot. My car insurance was £530 this year but they gave me £60 back as an introductory offer. I really need to have about £600 in that pot for insurance, mot and servicing by May next year. However from next pay day I will put £50 in there and at least I will have most of the money built up by then.
Oh well that's my plans but you know what they say about plans:)

Hi Poles & Bob
Thank you for your messages. I think it will be next month before I can really believe it but I'm still delighted:D
Well today has been so busy but I'm glad I got everything done. Today's list of jobs were- mass
- cut hedges
- weed garden
- hoover out mobile skip (car)
- do ironing
- pluck eyebrows ( yetified)
I have done all the above and have the scratches from briers and nettles. I have dinner on now and feel very smug. Today has been an NSD my first one of August:D:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

I forgot to say that my oven has gone capoot.
The engineer came out and fixed the element (£60) but he says it is done and rusted at the back. I need a new one before Xmas, so I have until then to save up to buy a new oven. The engineer says I could get a half decent 1 for £500 gulp. I think my ISA fund has suddenly become my oven fund:). I was hoping to get a new front door but that will now have to wait.
On the positive side a new oven should last me for years and I'm not putting it on credit:D:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

How annoying about your oven. At least you don't have to save up for that and service your debts.It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

Morning all
Confession time. I've reached Olympic heights with the frittering but these things happen and it's time to resurrect the spending diary and keep this diary up to date. I know I'm no longer in debt but I think I could very easily head back that way if I'm not careful:o:)
OH is supposed to be taking me away next weekend but I wont hold my breath on that one.
Plans today - work
Dinner is also courtesy of local chinese as I have nephews tonight so that will be spends.
Pay day tomorrow and hopefully today I get my payslip which will finally show the salary that I will be receiving. We've had a small increase but no idea what it will actually amount to. I suppose I better get dressed and go into work to find out.
Spends planned this month-- the usual, circuits n swimming
- holiday spends
- beauty treatments before hols - £80??
- 2 nights out
I will do my best to be good in Sept but life happens:D:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Ok payslip is on desk and I've been number crunching already. Although in theory I could put money into savings in reality I can't as I have holidays coming up. Which is wonderful to look forward to. The plan is that nothing is going on the credit card and OH is buying dinner.:j
After much calculations I am awarding myself £200 in spending money. This will cover all shopping etc but no petrol I have a separate budget for that.
I will be using my holiday savings etc but will show the money being used from savings separately to my general spending money.
I spent £3.05 today on a sarnie meal deal for lunch and the paper. I've been pretty good with making my own lunch but the cupboard was very bare this morning.
Spending money - £200
Holiday savings - £430 - the plan is £200 lira, £40 taxi, £20 visa entry for 2. £80 beauty (once a year treat) = £90. Also have 3 day break to Italy in Oct and owe £80 for the hotel room and need to find spends.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j
