.... i am considering paying this and making it conditional on the recorded call that i made on that saturday night to be produced to me as evidence... that call will confirm my innocence and highlight their dodgy practice to advise customers incorrectly and to the benefit of the company and not the consumer.... totally disgusting business practice...
any advice, feedback and recommendations will be very welcome as i begin trying to get back the money owed to me.... ...
Don't pay the money. Just send an e-mail to jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com (stick to the facts, do not rant on), and the CEO complaints team there are the most likely to be able to sort it for you.
Good luck!0 -
Agreed- This is a simple one as the call can be pulled and listened to. Either you agreed to changing your phone package or you didn't.
The agent should have reviewed all changes with you so as long as you didn't just agree to everything whether you understood or not then it is very straightforward.
Personally I'd just call cancellations in your case in the daytime and get an onshore retentions agent to sort it out though. You shouldn't need to email.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

hi
.... subsequently i clarify the call centres position and they say this is the highest escalation point and there is no more they can do to resolve it
i then get on twitter and go through a process in their live chat.... again the same answer...

Unfortunately, it's been my experience though when I had a complaint, that they didn't follow their own Code of Practice, and I chose not to take the Ombudsman route.
Sky only resolved the complaint after I'd switched or cancelled all the services I had with them. They fully understood that they weren't getting any money from me!
If you're out of minimum term, Retentions/Cancellations/Win-Back agents have the ability to turnaround situations, in my experience, where Sky's complaints procedures fail.0 -
Called and cancelled today as my 50% off from last years MSE deal is coming to an end at the start of April.
Best they could offer was 30% off meaning my bill would go up £15 and that was with the removal of the movies!
Told them to cancel. In all honesty we don't watch that much TV, certainly not enough to justify £82.50 per month!
If they come back with an offer the same or less than what I'm paying now I'll be happy to continue the service otherwise I'll stick to the pub for football and the likes of afdah.com for movie streaming
I'm a BT employee and considering BT TV. Time will tell.0 -
Called after a years 50% off normal entertainment package came to an end. The sky+ HD box was about 5 years old and freezing up a lot so I asked if I could get a new one.
Was offered a new sky+ HD box with wireless built in
Family Bundle (includes HD and 'boxsets' I think?)
Sports
Total cost without discount £57.50
33% off makes it £38.50 and price valid for 5 years.
Tempting deal but I've cancelled anyway. I'm sure others have had better.0 -
Just got another 50% off deal - 10 months this time. Didn't haggle hard as I was in a rush to get it back due to OH wanting to watch her program on MTV later!
Not quite sure what the 10 months is all about, anyone have any ideas?
Also, has anyone had any luck getting their multi-room cost reduced? I'm paying full price for it but thinking of cancelling it and seeing if they offer me anything.2016 diet challenge 16lbs/42lbs lost

Just been offered free variety pack for 7 months, followed by 3 months half price and then two months full rate. Not on a contract basis so I can cancel whenever I want.
Again, I'm not interested. My EE BB contract expires in May and when that comes round, I'm gonna play hardball to get BB included in any Sky deal I choose.
If they refuse, fine, I'll just go somewhere else for BB. While the variety pack deal is pretty good - works out £7 a month if I were to stay with them for 12 months, a BB deal is more important to me. I can do without Sky TV.0 -
Cancelled sky on Sunday after reading this forum. Have had 50% discount for the last two years, still expensive but I can live with that. Was immediately offered 40% discount when I cancelled, rejected that as for me its 50% or cancellation, nothing else. Saw on my sky that I was being offered 35 % to come back - again not good enough for me so thought I would leave it a few weeks and maybe contact via chat if they didn't call me. anyhow took a call this afternoon from Sky and after 5 minutes of them initially offering 35% which I quickly rejected I was told that he would talk to his manager and see what he could do. Eventually he came back on the line and said his manager was really not happy but agreed to 50% again - no contract for 10 months. that's fine for me so took it. Set reminders on the calendar to cancel again at the end of September and see if they repeat it, if not will be cancelled before the end of the offer as there is no way I am willing to pay the full price. thanks to the forum for advice on how to deal with sky - if they just reduced the prices then wouldn't need to keep doing this.0

if they just reduced the prices then wouldn't need to keep doing this.
They would never do this though as it would cost them a massive amount of their profits. I would hazard a guess that there are far more people just accepting and paying full price than there are people like us here that negotiate discounts.0 -
Hi All
I am currently out of contract with my Sky Talk Line Rental and paying £16.40 per month.
Has anyone got any recent offers on their Line Rental to reduce the price down?
Thanks0
