I understand that you can go via a cashback site and get an online offer, but if you go via the referral route, it goes via the referring account, so no cashback and no online offers.0 -

My Sky deal has come to an end and I'm now back up to £33 from £16.50. I'm moving to a new bigger house in February. Now do I go the cancel current deal and wait for a great offer or do I cancel and start up again on a new customer deal. Bearing in mind I'll want to upgrade to multi-room. Thoughts?0

Hi my SKY deal come to an end. I had free Family Bundle for a year which is now up. they have offered my a down grade to original plus free broadband and line rental for 9.99 for 10 months on a 12 month contract all for a total of 29.50 - is this good or should I hold out for something better?0

I was on a half price deal for family bundle? which has now ended and was back up to £33....I was their online chat and managed to get it down to £18 (£2 more than before) for 10 months with no change to package. When the email confirmation came through it said I have accepted the "dtv 15gbp off for 10 months"
I couldn't be bothered holding out for anything else so I've just accepted it0 -
Sky are advertising the current 1/2 price movies for six months as not being available if you already have a discount. If you try to upgrade online, it will show as the full price, would have cost me £19 extra per month.
However if you phone up, they wont give it to you there and then but will phone you back immediately giving you the discount on top of what you already have. For me that is Movies and Entertainment for £22 p/m.
So could you clarify please - what would it have cost you if you upgraded online and what did you get by phoning?
What discount package are you currently on?0 -
U def need to cancel your contract to keep the ball rolling, i called in to sky to tell that my contract is coming to an end and i cant afford to pay the full price and all they could do was to give me some pennies off so i told them to cancel it, once i did that after 3 days i received my first call offering 35% off tv which i refused. 2 weeks later i got an offer of 50% off whole tv package, i have family bundle with movies hd and and hd pack for 24.75. After that got multiple offers on internet but it wasnt good enough , my line went threw to virgin and they would come in next week to install it so once they saw that on their system they offered me 5 pound fiber internet for a whole year, so whole bill with unlimited anytime calls comes up to 51 pound
not bad at all! I know i could get a bit better deal but i just had enough dealing with the phone calls etc but u can get a good deal, u just need to stay strong and make several calls, some of them offer better deals then others, also def ask to be forwarded to retention team

I have cancelled .... so waiting to see what they offer.
But I am prepared to go through and use the sky box for freeview only.
Problem is the rest of the family may revolt :cool:0 -

So, do I call them ?
I just have this thought that, if I call them, they will know I am keen to come back, so the offers won't be so good. Do I wait for them to call me ?
Sky now been off for a fortnight now, and the peasants are revolting... how long to I need to stay strong for ?0 -

Yeah, the plan is to save up for a Freesat HD box, but the Humax programme guide was cr*p last time I looked at it, and setting the system up so that I can use the one box but watch it in one of two rooms (lounge or bedroom) looks like a real faff.
P.S. Cancelled two days ago, got the first retention call today. Told him I needed to consult with the cat (didn't tell him Charlie was a cat) so wouldn't be making any quick decisions...0
