When did you sign up for that deal?

In the past few weeks. I was originally a Sky BB customer only, they have rang a few times and this deal was good.

I fear 12 months time, however the dish will be pulled down and we go back to council tv...

TV switched off last week and now the calls from the second level detentions have started.

Next time I am in when they call I will see what they offer. Virgin have some very good deals on at the moment though.

Has anyone transferred over to the VM "Big Kahuna" bundle at £45pm? The only reason I am remotely considering it is because I am paying nearly that every month, anyway. Which probably makes me the biggest mug going.

I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the main benefit of that package, which is On Demand, as my broadband speed isn't the greatest.
You're wrong, you can still access On Demand even with a slow internet connection. The service allows you to start watching while the download is in progress and you can also schedule downloads when you go to bed (or work) and watch them on your return.

I'm well aware that you can access On Demand at much lower speeds than Sky recommend, and also that you can start watching before the download has finished.

Having said that, to me On Demand means watching programs when the mood strikes me and not having to plan my TV watching in advance.

So I'm not wrong, and I'm not sure how you can say the way I view any possible benefit to me as being wrong.

As I said, even with a slow internet connection the programme is available to view a few minutes after starting the download. If this is also too slow, then I agree you may be right, not wrong.:p

Good luck with getting a price reduction AND a new box

If you are commenting just from a simple technical 'does it work' point of view, then as I said I'm aware it will work. But it doesn't work in a way that will pay off for me (my neighbour had a similar speed to me before upgrading to fibre).

As I posted earlier, I'm not that fussed if I don't get anything and haven't missed it so far. I'll just end up contributing to my local pub's takings more than usual come the football season!

On demand works fine for me and we don't have a fast connection, the service is designed for this type of connection, of course it does work better with fibre. Just sayin..

Yes I'm aware it works at less than the advertised speed. However, not in a way that would benefit me, especially for £5 more a month!
  • Hi
We are looking to have BT package (broadband. Line. TV ) as we want BT sport. At present we have free view. Is the best option to just book online or can we get a better deal calling up? Had Sky a few years ago and can't get Virgin. Ta
