OK, just called Sky to ask exactly what the price will go up to after my contract ends:

    £32 Family pack
    £7.50 Broadband
    £5.00 Sky Talk
    £15.90 Line Rental

Total cost of £59.90  (Consider that we were on the 'O2' offer!!)

What sort of price should we be holding out for? We don't mind paying line rental up front and signing another 12 month contract if the deal is a good one.

Only reason to stick with Sky is the missus likes Sky 1 and the kids like the kids channels.

I have just had the same package as you bar the £5 Sky Talk, but with HD as well on top instead.

We just got a new 12 month broadband contract for £14 a month, free broadband and some money off line rental. A few days later the TV department phoned randomly and offered 75% off TV packs.

I must admit we don't watch much 'live' telly but the whole catch up stuff swayed it more now so we have got:

Line Rental and Sky Talk Freetime £14
    Sky Broadband £0
Sky Family Pack with HD, Sky Movies, 500GB Sky+ box, Free Installation, £17.25 a month.

So just over £30 for the lot, bar Sky Sports and the anytime calls.

My 50% off everything deal comes to an end this month so I called Sky to see what they could do. The best they could give me was the TV pack with Sports, Movies, HD and multiroom for £61 a month.

Obviously this is far too expensive so I've put my 30 days notice in, hopefully I'll recieve a call from their 'special retentions team' with a better offer

Mine went off about two months ago and in that time I have had the online banner for 50% off and two letters offering the same thing... i'm sitting tight to see if they go higher than 50% but if you are happy with that level of discount then I don't think you have any worries, as long as you don't mind going without your Sky for a month or two...

To be honest, not having sky made me realise that actually I can easily live without it and I don't really miss it at all.

I rang Sky for a MAC (hoping to get an offer to stay). She said I didn't need a MAC because of my line or something. Is this right?

Do you have a fibre connection (FTTC)? I'm not sure if a MAC is necessary for that but it definitely is for ADSL2+, last time I checked anyway.

Wow thats pretty good does that include BB and phone?

I’m paying full price now £86 but have 10 days left till cut off, been with Sky 15 years , had no real offers at all. I keep checking My Sky page. Actually thinking I might not renew now even with an offer and seriously look at using Netflix with the EE deal.

As you are on Sky's own equipment, then no a MAC is not required.

Similar situation to me actually. I know some people have managed to haggle 75% but I went on the online chat and they would not offer me that when I asked. However they offered me 60% off, which I took as I really want to watch the new 24! As I've only got the very basic TV package it's not bad for less than a tenner a month.
