ergo I am a customer you would think they would want, else they not only lose the customer but their competitor gains a customer
Your circumstances are different, but Sky won't know that unless you told them. They won't be in any immediate hurry to tempt you back.0 -

I have been a virgin broadband and phone customer for a few years and not bound by any contract. TV provided by Sky. Virgin recently ran a promotional deal on their top package, (VIP Collection), which was 120mg broadband, All channels including sports and movies and unlimited anytime calls for £49.50 per month and line rental at £15.
Virgin told me i was an existing customer and didn't qualify for the current promotion but they could offer me the same package as an existing customer for £99 per month. I was pretty hacked off that they wouldn't offer me the deal so went through to their retention dept and couldn't get a better deal.
My question is, Has anyone recently experienced this? Did they get the promotional price after giving their notice? If i give them my notice, will they ring me back after a few days and offer me the promotional price rather than loosing a valued customer?
If i left and came back would i qualify for the promotional offer?0 -

New deal from Sky today:
Unlimited broadband, free evening/weekend calls, line rental reduced from £14.50 down to £2.50 for 9 months, free sky movies for 2 months, and a new N router.
All for £31 including TV, no contract now and can cancel anytime.
Originally I was paying £41 a month.
It took me about 1 hour really tried to get a Sky Hub and to get the price down more and for bundles its really only Sky, Talk Talk and Virgin Media.
Virgin will be phoning back tomorrow so hopefully they will offer me something better especially as they have fibre optic broadband. Its a tough market!!!0 -

Sky employ people to answer questions such as this. If you are patient, one of them will be along in a moment to answer you. Or you could simply phone Sky.0
