Please don't call on their premium number, instead use 0207 126 7020 which is the same number and will normally be included in your call plan saving you a lot of money. It takes you to exactly the same place (call centre) as their premium number.
Complete rubbish Sky has not moved to Asia, overflow calls are dealt with there, if you have Skytalk then all calls to Sky are absolutley free!!!0 -
Followed the recommendations on this site and have reduced my charges from £67.50 a month to £52.90 a month! Asked to be put through to disconnection department straight away... I have ended up having to commit to a 12 month contract, but I still get all of the sports channels, the multiroom package and Skyplus.0

We are stuck with sky or nothing. We don't have cable in our area. Is there any other providers other than virgin that need the cable0

WOW! Loads of amazing offers flying around. I've only haggled once or twice with sky and the best offers I've had are free ESPN for 6 months and free line rental for 6 months.
Quick question:
I am currently paying £78.75 for;
TV - HD, Entertainment Extra and Movies
Broadband - Unlimited
Talk - Anytime + Line Rental.
My contract ended on 09/04/2012 - therefore im not under contract.
What, in your opinions, are my chances of getting a good deal? I don't mind being under contract but would love 6 months free or something similar.
Thank you0 -

Why not get a freesat recorder - I love my Humax Foxsat box - I have it setup so I can watch recorded programs on my laptop or my other TV using my WAN!To infinity and beyond!0 -
Be very careful when switching between providers. Two years ago I switched from Sky to Virgin using Virgin's 'no hassle' method. I was led to believe that Virgin would handle all the admin around transferring numbers etc and I would therefore avoid any pressure calls from Sky.
Virgin installed their equipment and I began using it. Approximately one month later I noticed that my bank account was £70 light. I realised that this was for Sky. I contacted Sky to confirm this was my final payment only to find that Virgin had not cancelled the service and that I still had to give one month's notice of cancellation to Sky!
From the response I received from Sky it was clear that I was not the only one who had been in this predicament. The customer service rep told me to contact Virgin. Virgin customer service was distinctly unhelpful and told me that I must have received a letter telling me to cancel Sky TV from the Virgin installers. I advised that this was not the case and that I would hardly have opted to pay over£100 per month for two TV services!
I wrote to both organisations, twice. Neither replied. I also contacted Virgin, as according to the deal I had access to free prints every month. No response.
My experience of both organisations is that they are all over you like a cheap suit until they lock you in, then you'd better get used to the sound of silence!
Factor in the length of time you're locked in to how much you actually use the package. Compare the the cost of TV, phone & broadband with phone, broadband free view &love film/Netflix.0 -
Would anyone know if you have to pay multiroom subscription for every extra room you have a sky box in ?thanks0
