We have been away from sky for months now. Cancelled last May and have never looked back. Numerous 25%, 50% and 75% offers have followed by post which we have never bothered with.
Sky just called us and said they had an amazing offer for us. 6 months of sky, any package, without a contract, for free. I made sure there was no contract and nothing at all to pay no matter what channels or package you take (no espn or multi room included obviously).
Well the person was amazed when we turned it down. Our reasoning was we couldnt be bothered with the hassle of setting it all up again when we would cancel it again in 6 months. Im sure though that some would take advantage of such an offerso hence the reason for posting.0 -

If you already have a dish and a box then there wouldn't be a lot of 'hassle' setting it up again.
At that 'price' you couldnt lose0 -
Thats just it though. We just redecorated and the tv is now on the other side of the room. We used to have sky world and the reason we cancelled was because we never watched it. Were happy with our freeview pvr and netflix tbh.0

Hi All
Just rang Sky for my TV as my 25% 6 month off deal is expiring, disconnections said best they can do is 10% off as I have had 25% couple of times ?!
Any advice ?
Also separate question could my wife use topcashback/quidco site for cashback as a new customer on the same address and get cashback ? with both Sky and Virgin Media as we have services from both on my name only.
Thanks0 -
Was on entertainment extra HD package with Sky at £34.25 which already included a £2.50 per month discount (though didn't realise I had this!). Phoned customer services to see if they could reduce my monthly fee. They said they couldn't do much due to the existing discount but put me through to cancellations (without me asking) to see if they could do more. Long story short, I keep the same package (which we're happy with anyway) but subscription has gone down by another £4.90 per month/£58.80 per year. Happy with this for not alot of effort0

Just had a phone call from sky, been away from tv since April, gave me 75% off any SD tv package for 9 months with no contract, took the ent xtra for just over £6per month, wouldn't/couldn't give me B/B deal, but saving the £2.50 excess as taking out a tv package.
To all those guys who have recently cancelled, you will have to call their bluff and go without it, like socmwils23, i've had the fliers and phone calls as he/she had and turned them all down. Put the wife and kids of for as long as possible as i knew the 75% deals were around the corner.0 -
