Repeating myself again here, but ringing asking for a deal is not the way to get a good offer. Ring and cancel if you want the best offer, end of.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A
If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -
I am literally just off the phone with Sky. I rang regarding their 1/2 price line rental which I have just taken for a year. I also wanted to cancel Sky Sports as my 6 months 1/2 price offer was due to expire and I have got a further 6 months at half price!
That is a result for me.:j0 -

Had previously been enjoying a decent 9 month discount from sky that ended last month.
I got
Telephone line rental
Unlimited broadband
Sky HD
all the channels, Kids, music, documetries, sky atlantic etc
Sky Movies
Sky Sports
all for about £65/month.
Called up yesterday as it was expiring saying that the £88ish/ month it was now going to be was too high and i'd be cancelling if they couldn't lower it.
I was offered......10% off, that's it.
So 31 days notice period has now been put in, we will see what happens.0 -

I put my 31 days notice in to Sky a could of weeks ago (cut off date is the 29th) and so far I've not had any offers from them.
Got a call tonight looking for feedback as to why I was binning it off, maybe it's a precursor, maybe it's not.0 -
I've been off for over 2 months now and have not heard a peep from sky in any shape or form. Not bothered though.0
