Sky tv was due to be switched off on the 3rd november. had a call tonight from a nice scottish man offering us 50% off so am staying!
I budget around £70-£80 a month for the sky fibre, phone and tv and am delighted we now have it for £72 for the next 12 months (have had offers for the past years which enabled me to keep it at this price)0 -
Called them last night. got 20% off t.v. and line rental for £3 for 12 months. Chuffed!0

Suggest you email the Sky CEO to escalate and complain. Also ask for compensation.
If I remember correctly;), his name is Jeremy Darroch and if you try the format christianname.surname@bskyb.com, you may get lucky;).
I need to be careful as it is against forum rules to post email addresses, even though you can easily find the Sky's CEO one via a simple google search.
Give it a couple of working days for a response.

Well, not perfect but £23 saved a month.
Was on £60 per month for sky world, cancelled Hd (why I had to pay extra to have the same picture clearer was always a mute point).
so 20% off for 6 months suits me, will call back once 6 months is up and either cancel or get something off, must save money !!!!
anyway whats best number to call for free if not on sky talk ? lousy Kingston Comms lines only in hull so no broadband / line rental haggling available via the virgin media route. Oh well £130 saved over the next 6 months.0 -
I currently pay £69 for tv (inc sport) & phone/ broadband (with evening/ weekend calls).
Just phoned & the best offer is £60 for 12 months. Better than nothing I know but I haven't accepted.
It's a waiting game to find out if they call me back with a better offer.
Any info on whether you have had better recently?0 -
As its now less than 31 days to the last F1 race of the season, I phoned Sky to cancel my HD package - taking me down to a TV package of £23. I was offered 50% discount on HD for 3 months, which I declined.
I was informed that any HD recordings on the Sky+ box will be deleted after the 31 days is up. Does this apply to programmes recorded on free-to-air TV such as BBC HD? And I presume I will still receive all free-to-air HD channels after Sky cancel the HD?0 -
Only Sky HD pack services will be blocked as the entitlement to them will be removed from your card.
You will still get BBC HD, Channel4 HD, etc, just nothing in the Sky HD pack.0
