Just spoke with Sky, less than 5 minute conversation and they immediately reduced my line rental from £14.50 per month (this includes the December price increase) to £3.00 per month for 12 months - no contract tie in. Basically equates to 20% off my bill.0

A delightful, and helpful, lady phoned me this afternoon and gave me 20% off for the year. I'm happy with this as I'm happy with Sky but the charge had become too much. Problems of retirement!!!!!!!!!!
As an aside - it's a shame that you can't just pay for the Sports package and have the free to air channels.0 -
Pfft, have just come out of contract with Sky, currently have entertainment extra, disney cinemagic, calls, unlimited broadband - ~£55 a month (bearing in mind we can only record the channel we're watching due to our daft apartment management company!!) What was I offered? 25% off line rental for 6 months or half price movies for 3
What did I do wrong? I thought I was very convincing!0 -

If what they're offering isn't worth it then say no and cancel the subscription.
They may or may not offer you something better.
If they do then bonus.
If they don't then you can go "Freesat from Sky" for a while and save even more money.0 -
this is my current deal with sky, spent the morning on phone trying to get it reduced.the best they could offer me was £12 off the monthly price of £110 anyone any suggestions on how i can get this down further.
