Could someone advise me on the best priced deal I might get from Sky as a new customer.

At my current address we cannot receive a sky signal so we are with BT and are paying £25 a month for phone line rental with evening and weekend calls and broadband of 40g.

We are due to move in 9 days so I have the option of breaking my contract at a cost of £80 with BT and going with another provider or paying £130 connection fee to move with BT and stay on current £25 package.

Sky will connect me for free according to live chat but I am wondering what sort of subscription deal I could get as a new customer?

As a new customer it will be whatever is listed on their website at the time unless your employer has special offers with them.

Nice deal. I have the same (£25) but for 80 Mbps and that doesn't include line rental.

I'd take the 20% off as we do watch various shows on each of the packages. Just need to get them to offer it to me. Also for them to come and move the box to the new property. Failing that i will sign up as a new customer in the other halfs name. £100 M&S voucher, 6 months half price and get a new Sky box etc.

don't feel too upset, until 6 months ago they had been charging us £49 for a good few years.:mad:

I just moved to V/Media Broadband(100mb for half price) and Phone(talk XL), so i had to cancel the contract with sky... they then offered me a free sky multiroom subscription for two years. Not paying anything else, and getting premium channels, movies and sports

Hi Just spoke to retentions, my current package is £64pcm for entertainemt+, sports and multi room.

I need a phone line and broadband as well now as ive cancelled BT Line, they offered me this:

1. 20% off my sky package for 12 month
2. 25% off for 6 months no new contract
3. Line rental and Broadband for 10.50 for a year
4. Free HD box and 12 months free HD

I can only accept one of these offers, i told them offers werent good enough and i still wanted to cancel. They didnt go down anymore! Told me to have a think and call them back. If i ring back and say still want to cancel do you think they will come down more or is this the best i can get?

If you want HD I'd snap their hand off at the 12 months free and a free box- to compare we have been with Sky for 16 years and only got offered 6 months for free plus the free box.

If you don't want HD I'd probably go for the 6 months at 25% for flexibility.
