My sky went off on the 15th feb, Not received any calls etc.. from sky offering and half price deals.

Gettin a bit twitchy dont know what to do

my experience (and reading others on here) is that you need to sit tight without Sky for about 5 weeks before getting a letter offering half price for 12 months
Hark at you going all strict :D

Im paying for £51.90 a month including £13.90 line rental for:

    L Broadband
    XL TV
    M phone

VM are now increasing their prices by a few pound a month. Is it worth my while going else where? I do not use the phone at all.

You are in same position as I was except I wanted sky sports.

If your out of contract you should be abe to get 7-11 pound off through retentions. I actually end up with following by waiting for them to call me once cancelled

    Just got offered and accepted

XL TV + Sky sports package
    BB L
    Line rental and M phone
    TiVo free installation etc
    £68 After price rises

2 months free which means an average of around
£57. Considering sports is 22.5. Likely without any discount on it.

However I'm not sure whether I got a good deal because I was upping my services

Same package I'm on but I've only been paying £46.40 BEFORE the April price rise and I still think that is too much so I've cancelled.

I've been following this forum for the last month or so...

I came to the end of a discount deal in jan. rang upto 'cancel' and they tried to give me free line rental but I'd already got that after a mess up on their end over my line and broadband.

They told me they couldn't offer anything so I continued with the cancel and was given the date of 4th march. I got an email with a survey as to why I was leaving which I completed. Nothing from sky.

Today got a missed call on my mobile from a marketing number so rang cancellations and said I had a call offering me a discount to stay but was cut off ( ok a white lie there!).

She was happy to sort it out for me - what had I been offered. I said 25% off ( wasn't brave enough to say 50%!). Ah yes she said. I can do that for you now if you want?

So now have 12 months 25% off tv
    12 months free line rental
    12 months free broadband

    Hope this helps someone.
