I agree with martindow - start a blog! The whole scenario made me think of Bridget Jones for some reason (you're far more entertaining!) and I was on the edge of my seat with everyone else waiting for the outcome.
If a blog's not on the cards, give us the next installment on hereEek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0 -

:rotfl: Not sure I'd be worthy of a daily spred in the Indy though, more the local borough guardian! :rotfl:Who do you think I should get to play me in the big screen adaptation?"This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0

Thanks for such a good laugh
that bit about the hotel
made me laugh out loud.
Its like something from a movie
oh I wish I had been a fly on the
wall,do you suppose she will send
a thank you note & some flowers
round ?
ah no she will be too busy
telling your ex off for having
the cheek take her to one of
his ex girlfriends fave hotels.
Priceless and typical of some blokes
who lack imagination, sounds like you had a
lucky escape.
Still laughing,but doing it quietly
as my lot are all in bed, cant wait to
tell my bloke about this in the morning,
its so good to start the day laughing,
once again many thanks0 -
Very entertaining! I still, however, cannot really get my head around WHY you did it in the first place?? OK..so you were being nice and moving on..but why did this involve her coming to dinner..on her own! It just seems soooo weird!
You go out with someone..finish..he goes out with her..and you think "why not come for dinner?" You made such an effort and spent a decent amount of cash as well ...were you trying to let her know that she will not measure up to you?.trying to impress her ..whatYou are a bigger person than me .... I just could not have done it! I could not have done it from her perspective either though!!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0 -

Well done you! And the bit about the hotel - priceless! I've been in a similar situation myself and there is nothing like seeing someone's mouth kinda squinch up when you drop one of those in conversation *laffin like a crazy laydee*
Don't know why you did it but kudos to you for being so big hearted and gracious
And, doesn't like olives! Pah! Loads of people say this and I have a sure fire way around it - get them to eat 7 olives. I swear by the end of the 7th everyone always finds they suddenly like olivesworks every single time I try it. Mind you, it does mean my nibbles get eaten a lot quicker than before - what am I thinking of?

when quoting the game of tennis as a points scoring system...the scores are:
love
15
30
40
deuce (which is 40:40)
advantage (which is you have advantage point when at deuce) and
game.
but hats off to you for being a star.
