Good luck angel
Firstly, you should have gone for a nice salad after all, 'revenge is a dish best served cold!;)
Secondly, have you lost your mind?! ... you keep her talking - I'll call the ambulance!
Seriously though, this could be fanastic for your self-esteem - a kind of look what you're missing situation. You're being really nice and just think, she may be feeling threatened in some ways too, ie., 'why are we having dinner with his ex-girlfriend?' - especially if the break up wasn't down to her.
And it'll only be for a few hours hun - you don't have to invite them again if it's too uncomfortable for you.
Thinking of you & hoping you have a nice evening. Best wishes"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0 -

She arrived 15 mins late, because she was looking for parking
which when I live a short scurry from a tube station.
She then spent spent the first 20mins apologising as she had forgotten the bottle of wine she had bought me. She was truly mortified and I had a littel glow in my heart because it was already 15: love at the beginning of the evening (not that I was counting:))
than I whipped out the olives etc all in pretty plates - only to be told that she didn't like olives (Having had a 20 item list of stuff she doesn't eat emailed to me, I wasn't that chuffed with that) I could feel a vein in my head start to throb & sort of managed to say, well you can dip the bread in the oils then.

30: love
After a G&T (double for me) we then went on to the main course, which was pretty interesting considering I'd camoflaged it with herbs. Tasted lurverly, but not what I'd call my best effort, appearance wise.
Whipped out the wine, only to be told, I'm driving (:mad:much grinding of theeth - 45 mins in the wine aisles that afternoon ~Thank you to the lovely Steve, who went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me choose. I hope your wife was amused when you told her all about the mad woman frozen with indecision between French and New World wines:rotfl: ) So here I am a passionate anti drinking and driving advocate, stuck with polishing off most of a bottle of wine and trying not to look like a desperate lush:rolleyes:

Then I pulled the garlic bread out of the oven to see I'd set it on gm7 instead of gm5 - crunchy texture, the beginnings of a swaety flustered Diva
