just to try them out i sent an old nokia, they were offering £1.50 all the other offers were around 50p - 00p. A charge of £1 would be imposed if you asked for cheque payment so i ticked there box to have the money paid straight into account. Some 2 weeks later a cheque arrived for 50p. I contacted them to complain
and in a nutshell was told you've been paid, I was put off from sending in my redundant htc hd2. i still have the cheque and letter to this day and stumble accross it now and again to now have a good laugh

I sent a really old phone to these guys because they were the only ones who even offered money for it. The envelope came the very next day and I was paid within a week. I only went with them actually because the comparison website I used https://www.onbay.co.uk/recycle paid an extra £1 with some sort of exclusive deal thing.

At the end of the day many people have bad reviews of these mobile recyclers, but I take many with a pinch of salt, especially those where they get knocked down for scratches but suggest they only ever used the phone in a padded room, with silk gloves.

I have used these guys twice in a couple of years and have had excellent service both times. With this latest sale, I posted two phones to them on Friday 27 July. On the Monday I received a text saying they had received them, and the cash was in my account today. These guys paid £10 more than the next best offer and double what most of the popular sites were offering. I would have no hesitation in using them again

Everything ran smoothly and got exactly what I had been quoted and in exactly the timeframe I was promised. I did make sure that the phone was left on when I posted it so that there could be no dispute that the phone was working. From my experience I would definitely recommend TopDollar.

This may affect at lot of you out there. If you intend to sell them an iphone then just beware that they will deduct £30 from the quoted price on the website if your device is locked to a network carrier. This is not that clearly stated when you request them to buy your device. They are also very slow in coming back to you with updates on progress, had to chase them several times for a update once they had sent me an email to say they had received my device. Will update again to inform you how long it took to receive my cheque.

I was quoted a price significantly higher than other companies and thought i'd take a chance. As usual if it seems to good to be true it normally is and they claim to have never received my phone. It was only a few quid and not worth fighting them for but i won't be using them again
