topdollarmobile.com

Hi,

Has anyone used them to recycle their mobile? They're offering £20 more than the top site on the comparison tool on MSE, but that makes me a bit suspicious. Any feedback would be good.

Thanks

I used them twice recently and they were spot on. Money was sent to me within 2 days and I couldn't fault the service. I was a bit worried beforehand because they were offering more than some of the other sites but someone rang me with a query on one of the phones and the number was from the UK. I wouldn't hesistate to use them again.
    Hope this helps.

They are all good till they suddenly go out of business. Big question is how can they give a better rate than the established companies? No advertising, obviously, but all any unscrupulous company needs to do is trade at a loss till they build a reputation, then scarper with a shed load of mobiles that they can sell on without actually paying the vendors.

EarthMobile had a good reputation for a while but see this forum and, in another field, Crown Currency Exchange have just gone bust, owing £000,000's.

Don't be too greedy and go to someone who has a long established business to reduce your risk.

I used these guys last month as they were offering nearly double everyone else for my old C905.
They paid up within a week, so no problems there.
The only thing I'd mention is their communications are a bit patchy...
The 'my account' bit on their website was never updated, and I only got an email telling me payment was on it's way 4 days AFTER the money had gone into my account via BACS.
  • Hi everyone,

Just discovered moneysaving expert and this is my first post :)

I've recently come across a mobile recycling site called TOP DOLLAR MOBILE that seems to pay higher amounts compared to other sites and reviews on facebook make it seem legit, however my McAfee SiteAdvisor keeps telling me to avoid the site

Anyone got any info on this site?
    Cheers in advance
