  • Hi

I used them for the first time a couple of months ago. The price they were offering was higher than other sites. I was a bit worried after reading the mixed views here so sent two phones worth very little to try them out. I got my cheque within a week no problem. Have just gone to their website to do the same again but my McAfee has come up with a big red notice asking if I really want to go to the website as it has detected that the website exhibits one or more risky behaviours. Bit worried about opening the web page. Anyone else come across this?
  • Used Top dollar for same reason as most other postings on here - they offered 20 pounds more for my son's phone than anyone else.
We posted the phone off 1st October 2011, but are still waiting for the money to be transferred.
Their phone line - 01483 890509 appears to be down and the number on their web site 0844870 9188 doesnt work either. Have phoned and e-mailed several times. Would appreciate any help ?
    Thanks Diane
  • Debating whether to send my phone to these or accept a few quid less elsewhere.... hmmmm?

take a few quid less from someone else. my sons phone arrived there but we've been waiting nearly 3 weeks for our money. very disappointing and unable to contact them by phone.
DONT RISK IT. WISH WE NEVER HAD. FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN RIPPED OFF AND THEY HAVE STOLEN MY SONS PHONE.
  • I would not touch these with a barge pole as my internet security blocks this site insantly if i click to go onto there website.

Not worth the risk safer to go with a company who has been around for a while even if they do offer a bit less. Just go via tcb or quidco to get a bit of cash back to top it up

Hello All interested parties, I realise this post is getting on but I am looking to sell my Iphone 4, and these guys are offering the best price.
Having looked at the comments left I was wondering wether anyone has some updated information on this company?
Also if you are ripped off by this firm, does that mean it's 'stolen' and you can claim on your insurance?...just a thought!

Unless you mean insurance fraud, you aren't serious, are you? Have you found a definition of 'stolen'/'theft'?

And even if the phone is really stolen, this mans anything for many insurers: Sneaky mobile phone insurance exclusion?
  • Hi all,
I was looking at selling my HTC Smart as i recently brought a new one. After finding TopDollarMobile was the best site for price I wanted to check to see if others had used it before!
I look at MoneySavingExpert to find it looked like it was a safe site. I sent my phone off after the packaging arrived and have recieved the payments 6 days later! I am very pleased and was sent an email to confirm they had reieved the phone, one to say they had accepted it was the phone i said it was and another to confirm the payment had been made! Very informative, would use the site again.
Hope this is helpful when you are deciding which site to use.
PS. I used the BACS form of payment.
  • would not agree with mightyroyals comment at all! They have clearly not used the site. I am pleased i sent my phone to them as i got a great price and service!

Hmm the above two posts aren't suspicious at all.......anyway I used topdollarmobile last week, they offered me £56 for my BB9105 which was £20 more than envirofone were offering, I though they'd try to find faults with the phone (which was in mint condition) but the cheque arrived today, good times
