I bought a £25 Lastminute for O Spa last November from Lastminute.com and eventually, about 6 months ago, managed to get a booking for O Spa Austin Reed. That booking is tomorrow, but it looks to me like O Spa are in trouble as they are not answering phones and their website is down. So I rang Lastminute who said it was just their Bond Street branch in liquidation. I insisted she check and she came back and offered me a £30 Lastminute voucher which I accepted. So it appears they are out of business.

Update to my previous email. I have contacted Watchdog and I understand so have several other victims, I would urge everyone here to give it a go.

However, I've just this minute had another check around and see that the tracking code I was emailed for Royal Mail is now active and the Royal Mail site states that it is being processed but not yet delivered. Are my face masks in the posts  dare I dream????

    Opsa London- Beware

Just emailed Watchdog sick of getting the run around from Groupon and Ospa apparently my refund has been processed, surprise surprise I have not received anything to date!
No more Groupon orders for me....be warned!
  • I purchased a voucher through Groupon for some straighteners which O Spa were offering which looked a really good deal. On 2nd July 2011 I placed my order with O Spa and at the time was offered as a special offer an additional set of thin straighteners which I decided also to purchase. I then waited and waited and waited and nothing arrived.

I have tried contacting O Spa via e-mail and got no response - tried calling them and guess what their advertised phone number is wrong. Groupon advised me on 28/09/2011 that they will be refunding my voucher money but as of 14/10/2011 still not received that so have called them up and been assured I will have it in 5 working days. I asked about the additional money I paid to O Spa and was advised that I would have to claim that from O Spa. How can you claim something from a Company which gives out the wrong phone numbers and ignores your e-mails. What a really good rip off this is and can you imagine how much money they have stolen from people but failing to deliver goods or give deposits. Utterly disgusted and will never have any dealings with O Spa in the future - even if they are giving stuff away free!!!
  • Another update. Yesterday still hadn't received my refund from Groupon and emailed them asking what the hold up was and pointing out that whilst O spa have said they had dispatched my order 3 weeks ago nothing had been received.

Then today my husband calls me at work to say that he has just signed for a parcel from O spa and low and behold the masks have arrive :-0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen them yet so I can't comment on the quality but there we are, it has taken in total 15 weeks but I now have my order.

  • I must be one of the very few people who have actually had my money back from Groupon and O Spa London for the massage chair I ordered for my mum.

On a lighter note I ordered another one from Groupon for a massage chair from HoMedics. Ordered it last week and it arrived yesterday. Tried it out and its fab!
  • Hooray, shock!! I have today received my masks from O Spa - over 3 months since I ordered them. So there is hope for those who have ordered other things from this company!:j
  • I also bought the voucher from OSPA. I purchased in August, and booked an appointment for early Sept. I used the online booking service, which though slow, is the only way this company seems to be able to deal with customers.

I arrived at my appointment, only to be informed that they should have called me 2 days before, to explain that they were unable to give me my treatment, due to product availablity.

I was disappointed, but agreed to reschedule. I had no choice. I received this same terrible treatment, a further two times, when I arrived to subsequent booked appointments.
I don't seem to be alone, and wonder, if no one is receiving treatments and we are paying up front, how can this place exist. There is certainly something wrong with a business that does not seem to be able to provide service to its customers even if they pay in advance.

I have tried to call the published numbers, the phone either rings off, or is busy! I have emailed several times and have received an auto reply for problems with Straighteners expected to be in stock after 15th August...its now October, so this is worrying.

Anyone, have any advice on how i can get through to a person, to get this resolved, please?:(

Well............. I've had exactly the same problem with Groupon and O Spa. I purchased the hair straighteners on the 6th July and also had all the said emails cancelling the the transaction. No one replied to any of my emails and I still hadn't got any refund as promised, so, on Monday afternoon I got a strop on and phoned Groupon on 020 3510 0410 and demanded my refund of £15 and suggested that they no longer trade with O Spa as they couldn't fulfill any of the orders placed and was informed that they no longer offfer anything from them. I was then promised that my money was going to be processed immediately and should show back in my paypal account by no later that monday of next week. Well you could have knocked me down with a feather, when I checked my paypal account later on in the evening, lo and behold my money from Groupon was there, less that 4 hours later!!!!!

I then managed to get through to one of the O Spa shops and demanded a telephone number of their head offfice or an email address of their MD. The phone number was constantly engaged so I bit the bullet and sent an email [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]. On Tuesday morning I had a very apologetic email [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] letting me know that my complaint was going to be dealt with immediately, and requested I supply him with my order/voucher number which I did. Then yesterday evening at 17.44pm I had an email from the customer services of O Spa letting me know that my refund of £15.00 has been processed and show in my account in 5-10 working days, then this morning I had yet another email [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] also letting me know that my refund has been completed and should show in my account in 3-5 working days, Hopefully it should be the latter!!! Whoopeedoo should have all my money back by monday next week.

My advise to you all............................. try emailing [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] it certainly seemed to work for me. Good luck, Sue
  • I'd be interested to know if you got your refund, Sue. I too had been waiting for hair straighteners since 7 July. I did get my £15 back from Groupon but OSpa still owe me £23.95. I have emailed them several times requesting a refund but to no avail...

So I too have emailed the MD - thank you for posting his address here. I am sure he's been inundated but if his company offers such shockingly bad service what else can he expect?!

Has anyone else out there had any luck getting their money back?
