Morrisons Undercooked chicken -Advice needed

Well I've never eaten a cooked chicken that's had blood dripping from it...
What stephen is saying is that not every single undercooked chicken has the bugs in it that can give you food poisononing, it could, but for the sake of the petrol, and the personal time, that it took driving to Morrisons it could have been deal with by finishing off the cooking at home.
If Morrisons has been over the road then I would have taken it back - but it seems it was a long enough drive away to have a moan about deisel money which to me seems a bit daft. Alternatively you could have stuck it in the freezer and taken it back next time.
Sometimes you just have to apply some common sense to the situation. Give the child something else then cook the rest.
There are loads of things that we, as a family, eat that the 'health police' tell us we shouldn't because it will make us sick. My kids are the only ones in their classes that have never been of with D&V bugs!! They just do not get them as they eat so much stuff they 'shouldn't' they have cast iron stomachs.
I routinely have eggs in my fridge that are many weeks out of date, if they don't float when you put them in water they get eaten. We should have all died of salmonella by now if you believe what the health police tell you. If I see eggs cheap because they are going out of date I stock up because you can get a good few months after the date out of them in this house.0 -
Tis a result of the previous Labour Government that OP cannot cook. She should sue her school.
besides, this is muppet food.0 -

When I first started working in Morrisons (still an unconverted Safeway at the time) I witnessed the counter staff being ordered to cook chickens that had clearly gone off, they were slightly green and smelled terrible! Amazingly, they had no returns...
Due to pressures of making sure waste is kept down, they would often cook chicken that was a couple of days past it's use by, very very illegal! At one point, they cooked some frozen breaded chicken portions that were 6 months out of date! This was before I took over as the dept manager, when I did I had a massive throw out and dared the store manager to sack me lol, he didn't dare, my evidence (a lot of photographic) would have brought him down to his knees.
And there's me planning on popping in to Morrisons on my way home to get a cooked chicken for tea!
What shall i have instead!0 -
I'm interested by the former Morrison's staff saying about dodgy chicken. Quite surprising. Also, a bif of blood in the chicken is not necessarily a sign it was undercooked, depending what it was like. Basically it's not a big deal. I would have just taken it back and expected a sympathetic response and a refund. If you're really bothered write to head office explaining it was a pain to come back in and then even more of a pain not even to get an apology. And if, you know, your history...0

Yes, he did, he said, 'sometimes we get it like that' I knew when I was cutting it up that it was not cooked enough, that was before I saw the blood. Thanks for suggesting to write to head office, I will do that. If they would have said sorry when I returned it, that would have been fine, but they were rude and ignorant, and that in itself needs addressing.0 -
"The food standards people will launch an investigation to ensure such event doesn't happen again"
How will any organisation "ensure" such an event does not happen again?0 -

What are they ignorant if there is not a problem with the chicken being dangerous?
Do you know the cooking tolerance they are allowed instore?
there will be a target but it will vary either side.0 -
Personally I will not be buying chicken from morrisons now from this store. As they will just over cook everything to ensure no blood is present.
So thank you for encouring them to sell tough, dry fibrous chicken. yum yum? may be not.0
