You could have just chucked it in the microwave for 2 minutes and it would have been cooked. No microwave? Chuck it in the ven for 10 mintes to finish it off. Surely the electric would have cost less than the diesel money to go and complain??

I don't think it's wise to do that. Could be wrong like.

Morrisons would most likely just dispose of the chicken and give you a refund if you take it back. You should ideally be compensated for this situation because it could have ultimately made your child very sick had you not noticed in time. The food standards people will launch an investigation to ensure such event doesn't happen again

Do as the others said and speak to health and safety at the council first before returning it. If you return it then make a complaint later, Morrisons would have destroyed the evidence.

Compensated for what? Having no proof that the chicken was under cooked and no illness because the OP didn't eat it what possible reason is there for compensation over than trying to blag free money?

Just bought a cooked chicken breast from the counter at Morrisons. Got it home and started to cut it up to make kids a sandwich, it didnt feel like it was cooked enough, meat was quite hard to take off the bone, when I got near the middle, there was blood in it. Just phoned up CS and they said that I have to bring it in. Doing that after I have sorted the kids out with something else for lunch. I dont know where I stand, can they just offer me a refund or can I take it further??

    TIA

Don't worry, someone will be along shortly with the email address of the CEO so you can escalate your complaint ;)

Unless you send off the sample for microbiological testing you can not know if it will cause a food saftey issue.

With out this info you do not know if this is cooked to a safe standard.
blood alone does not determine wether the product has been cooked well enough.

Well I've never eaten a cooked chicken that's had blood dripping from it...
