Morning DNMS, and I thought I was up early today! Are you too excited to sleep or just really busy?
I've got one more I hope to finish before New Year's Day, but that will depend on the bank balance so firstly I'm off to update my accounts and then see what's left to play with.....
Merry Christmas to all of you, and keep working on those lists.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Hi gang! How are we all doing? I hope no one has a financial hangover after the festivities! Now the event is over I have been giving some thought to my list. I pledge to do the following by 1st Feb:
#50 have a week when I do not spend any money - going to do my "money diet" in Jan again. Where I will spend as little money as possible. This year I did this and only spent £40ish over Jan (well apart from my car and TV ariel!) . We were incredibly resourceful and still did loads of things but for free!
#66 listen to 10 bands/musicians I haven't heard before (out of a total of 50)
#69 go and see a gymnastics tournament - we are going to see the gymnastics qualifiers for the Olympics on the 11th :T my birthday present from my lovely oh :j 11.01.12 done £2 in the coffers
#75 spend a rainy day watching films in my pjs
#96 say yes to everything for a day
#100 have my tattoo removed (1 more session I think, so feccin expensive, what was I ever thinking!!!) - will book it in for before Jan if possible so as not to undermine my Jan diet. If not possible will book for 1st Feb.
#45 do not do any housework for a week
looking forward to ticking these off!DF as at 30/12/16

Woohoo, just ticked off another one and for me, it was a biggie!
#56 - pay off Lloyds CC by 29.09.2012 :j:j
I decided to get rid of it ASAP as the interest rate was almost 24% so transferred as much as I could to a 7% for life card and paid off the last £50 this morning.
I am also working on #96 (make a quilt for Kevin & Kelly) this week and hope to get it finished in a couple of days. This has changed a little bit as they have had a baby girl and the quilt was quite pinkish. I doubt it would have been right for them so it's now smaller and just right for a little girl.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. Hi everyone - I hope you all had a good Christmas
.
Stitchy - Well done on paying off your Lloyds card. I hope you get the quilt finished soon.
DNMS - Good luck with finishing those things by 1st Feb.
I've crossed a few things off since I last posted on here. I bought a Lotto ticket (didn't win though) and got a Wii and Wii Fit for Christmas.
By the end of January, I pledge to:
Watch at least 10 new films (taking me to 34/100)
Read at least 3 books (taking me to 7/50)
Drive a Mini
Try red wine
Eat 1 thing I have never tried before (taking me to 4/5)
Buy myself some flowers
Get a sudoku book and complete half of it
Get rid of 20 things (taking me to 20/100)
Do a random act of kindness (taking me to 1/5)
Watch season 1 of Friends
Good luck with those lists everyone.

Hey all!!
In December i....
11 Give someone a handmade gift - made my brother a board game for christmas - i totalled up about 15 hours spent on itChuffed with it and it works really well! .
40 Finish my AAT course - finally did my project and got an email through to say i am fully qualified! :j
74 Spend a rainy day watching telly and reading in my PJ's- DD2 is ill so i stayed in PJ's today and watched telly with her! Then realised later it was on my list of things to do!
Here was my board game!
I need to work on a few things in 2012. DH's work is having a tough time so hopefully he won't get his hours dropped in the New Year - that will make some of my things difficult. I have changed one of my list items to 'Take a photo every day in 2012'. It was 'Buy a new Sofa'. But there is other furniture we would get first and also debt to pay off so this is very doubtful in the time left. I have recently got an iphone and love the instagram app. I take photos on this every day so will carry this on next year for a 365 project :-) Like a photo journal!
I am feeling especially craft at the mo and would like to explore crafts i may be good at in 2012. If money isn't too tight i may go on the odd course. I especaill like the idea of Glass Fusion. I would like to make personalise cushions for family members for xmas 2012
Wow what a lot of rambling.
I also got an iPad from DH for xmas!!!!! Extremely spoilt.
Time to tighten our purse strings now! xxxx Love and happy new year to you all. Ill have to have a think about my pledges! xxxOrange Fairy
