ClixResearch ?????

I spent a considerable amount of time completing 9 separate questionnaires for ClixResearch in the hope that I would be able to take part in product testing and be paid for my opinions on those products. The one section that is essential to being admitted to trials (which is the lifestyle section) would not update and remained outstanding despite my checking through the answers several times. Queries to the website operator proved fruitless and I am now left with the uncomfortable feeling that I have submitted a huge amount of personal information which I fear may now only result in my being the recipient of masses of direct marketing material. I got the link from the money saving expert website and, whilst I have no proof that I have been hoodwinked, I would say just beware......

They are a genuine company and some people have managed to get several trials with them. In my experience though I can apply for a trial as soon as I get the email only to find it is already full  It is very annoying as I have been offered about a dozen trials but have only managed to get onto one!

I've been signed up to them for years and have regularly updated my own details as well as my families and I've never had anything to trial.

I've had a total of three trials - of products I was pleased to use.

Recently received a few invites but found the trials were full when I went to accept them, despite responding within an hour of the email message being received in my account.

They are genuine, and I have been signed up for a couple of years now. During that time I have NEVER recieved any kind of junk mail or email from them so I wouldn't worry on that score.

It is very difficult to get trials from them though, as they must have loads of people signed up so the places fill up very quickly. I have been lucky enough to get maybe 8 or 9 trials from them during the time I've been signed up. I am a teacher though and it tends to be during the school holidays when I'm at my computer and I actually see the email come in to respond.

Just so you know, you dont get paid for the trials. You get to keep the samples of the products to trial.

There is no need to be rude, the person who had your post put elsewhere seems to have gotten you more traffic- they were only trying to help, why say something like that?!

Agree they have a fault (many) on their system, many of the topics have red marks against them as I have not been able to answer all questions (I don't drive for example, this means one topic is left uncompleted) or just a fault on their part. Its been like that for years and you do still get invited on surveys even though they are uncompleted.

But its still rare you can get onto a trial (all of which are unpaid by the way) as they send out emails on-masse and I get the feeling if your name isn't at the top of the alphabet or similar, your not emailed first and by the time you do get the email, the trial is full. Just seemed odd to me that on one forum thread others appeared to get one trial after the other whilst people like me rarely ever got an invite- if I did the survey was full.

Been with them 4 years. Had one trial for them 1.5 years ago and thats it. Don't hold out much luck of ever getting another trial.

Try the Tesco or Boots product trials (again, both unpaid) as they tend to have more trials available and are fairer with who gets them.

Hi Jennie, I've manages to get a few trials with them as i said and my initials are MK - middling to say the least! I think if when the emails go out, if people have a job or whatever where they have their email program open anyway they can click straight on it as it arrives, which leaves everyone else who gets to it a couple of hours later with a full trial.
I am signed up with Tesco and have only ever had 2 trials with them despite using them every week! I think these things are just swings and roundabouts.
