I suppose I could always get one on eBay

Looks like most of the first day ones are on there anyway. Oh well, back to the GameCube and I'll wait for the DVD playing version to come out.0 -
this site says thet are in stock but i have never heard of them before it says they are in london but price is in us dollars !! http://store-rss.com/nintendo_wii.htmlNo reliance should be placed on the above.0

Just got back from our local Gamestation - we pre-hadordered back in Sept.
They had 100 delivered on Wed/Thurs for pre orders, then last night another 57 turned up but they are also taking with more pre orders.
We spoke to the manager who mentioned that due to some strike over in France - loads were stuck in lorries in Calais and that's one of the reasons that retailers were struggling to fulfill orders.
Off to set ours up and have a go

Changing the delivery dates moves you to the back of the queue. I pointed this out on another thread and was rubbished for doing it. Never mind
But surely that is fundamentally wrong ? I had secured a WII and purely because I then changed delivery option my WII has gone to someone who ordered after me.
How can that be justifiable - how can you have been rubbished for pointing that out as wrong? CRAZY - so how many people are so effected?0 -
I have found that to be the same with ticket agencies, namely See Tickets when it comes to ordering and then completing your order.
You order the tickets, they state what tickets you will be buying, then when it comes to clicking "submit" within the time limit, they say "Sorry, these tickets are not available, try again"!
It is pretty poor that they conduct business like that. How difficult is it to have a stock system when someone adds 1 item to their basket, they take 1 away from the stock total? Regardless of whether they change any details other than the amount of items!
I had to do one in my IT GSCE in MS Excel for a Cinema booking system! And that wasn't too difficult! And that was in one of the worst applications to use for such a thing!
I did order a Wii from HMV on the 3rd, no sign of it, not surprised though! Almost wish I had one, but at the same time, it's money I still have in my back pocket!
Still doesn't stop me trying to buy one online now though!
