same thing happened here! clicked to change the delivery AS IT SAID!!! and its changed it to february. i am absoultely fuming!! i have phoned them and the man on the phone says he cant help and we just keep going round in circles. he says he will get the manager to ring me back but i am unsure as to whether this will actually happen!! i cant see how changing how it is delivered can change anything because when i ordered it, that console was allocated to me no matter what!

there are no words to say how angry i am

They are now trying to say that it was my fault, even though I only changed to express because they put IN BOLD TEXT

"Change your order to Express Delivery within the next 90 minutes for guaranteed delivery by 1pm on 9th December"

Have now asked for a manager but my heart is sinking fast

    Am now officially stuffed

    Have definately lost it.

Won't change their minds - there is nothing they can do etc. etc. etc.

Won't put me through to anybody more senior to discuss it. They are aware that this "feature" happens and they have strict procedures in place when it does, namely that I will be one of the first to receive the console in the middle of February when they expect their next tranche.

No offer of compensation to soften the blow either.

So I'm now back on the streets looking for a Wii, and feeling absolutely gutted

But how/why have we lost it? My order was taken and for delivery before Xmas - how can this now have been allocated to someone else - I just do not understand?

Amazon just sent me an email at 16.24 telling me that a few Nintendo Wii's are available between 3 and 4pm. I think someone is taunting me.

When you change a delivery option at Amazon, what happens behind the scenes is that it actually CANCELS one order, and PLACES a new order.

With this situation, there is a gap of a few seconds between Cancelling and Re-ordering where the console was available for anybody to grab ... and grab it indeed was.

I feel most aggrieved because I was quite prepared to wait a week for it ... until they tempted me with their BOLD TYPE offer of having it in my hands tomorrow.

Express delivery is NOT a trait of Money Savers, but ultimately I panicked that somethign might happen in the next week that could lead to the ordeer beign cancelled and I reasoned that it was better to have it in my hands than worrying that it might be cancelled.

Sounds like I was one of the lucky ones, I changed my delivery to Free Super Saver and i've kept my order date of 15th-20th December. Hope they manage to get them out sooner to you :(
