I could sell you one if you are desperate though
Haven't even bothered trying, there is no way I'd ever pay more than the RRP, and to be honest that's whether its a Wii, an Aston Martin or a Ferrari. Incidentally all of which I can afford out of cash/near cash equivalents on depositif I so desired, so I ain't desperate.
What I am saying is that I am pi**ed by guys profiteering at the expense of genuine fans of the item, and forcing individuals to part with more than the value of the item (or having to wait) simply because others who have no interest in the item for there own purpose are out to make a quick buck, often this is at the expense of children, and thus their parents who can not afford to pay the additional premium caused by ebayers buying up stock that is intended for genuine customers. :mad:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

I ain't fussed about folk selling stuff on ebay per se. What pis8es me off is when these guys spoil it for everyone else with there antics. If they see a bargain and get a cut, and the buyer gets a good price that's fine. But when they buy stock at the RRP, there is no stock left, and then flog it to the highest bidder, way above RRP, it ain't right, they are spoliers, and the result will be lots of disappointed kids and harassed parents, at the end of the day. :mad:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Does anybody know if the new Splinter Cell game is any good? I've never bought any of the Splinter Cell series before.0

I sort of agree but if people will pay it people will sell it.0

I have heard varying reports.
The top games are, Zelda & Call of Duty 3, and are the two to invest in, particularly zelda.
For those who ain't daft enough to pay over the odds, why not nip down to game / gamestation pick up a gamecube for £25 ish, and get zelda WW (collectors edition with ocarina of time & master quest, metriod Prime, metroid prime 2, mario kart (with free zelda bonus disk (ocarina, majoras mask, legend of zelda)) you'll probably get all these pre-owned for around the £55 mark, and it will certainly keep you occupied for some considerable time, time enough for supply to be sorted out.
Alternatively, for the more classically minded an N64 avec goldeneye, mario kart 64, turok 2, zelda (OC & MM), mario 64, diddy kong, Perfect Dark (the original not the 360 half a8sed effort), is likely to set you back around £50 aswell. All off these being all time classics, for those who might never have given Nintendo a go.
Goldeneye ..... are you any good at goldeneye .... with a potential multiplayer on Wii virtual console .... I am looking for so oppenents to REMOTE MINE.

Someone already said that if people wanted to get one and looked hard enough in advance they could get one. These have been on pre-order at HMV since October or earlier and those who have kids who would blatently want one and would be getting one should have pre-ordered for £30. No big loss for them.
Howver, some people wont pre-plan and leave shopping the the last minute then think "oh no - its sold out everywhere" then need to pay over the odds.
HMV and most stores allow 1 per person so cant say that someone is buying all the stock for themseleves.
Those paying 350 now on ebay are just plain stupid - or cant be bothered to look or never leave the house.
Some people cant afford to buy one so buy 2 on credit and use ebay to sell one to pay for the other. Its their right to do that if others are being too lazy to pre buy.
Tickets are a different matter as 1 person can buy loads at once.
Rant over. Roll on the wii - I cant wait!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -

your arguement is clearly flawed, as these statements clearly contradict each other.
The pre-order is only as good as the availability, if if these guys are ordering mulitple consoles (which they will, whether 1 is the policy or not, different friends, family, etc, etc) then there is a good chance of them getting one or more. While joe bloggs public goes in pre-orders one the probability of actually getting one is less.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

That's some pretty damn good advice DD! :T I've never owned a Nintendo console so that is why i've ordered a Wii. I'm not too bothered with graphics just more interested in gameplay and longevity. I like the Conflict Desert Storm/War/3rd Person sort of games so Call of Duty may be good for me. I don't know anything about Splinter Cell or Zelda so I may have to do some research. I've played Mario Kart with my mates on the old consoles and I enjoyed it.
I heard the Wii hasn't advanced too much in terms of performance power in comparison to the Gamecube. So i assume it would be wise to buy the cheaper GC titles. After owning a PS2 and paying full-price on all the games (and hardly playing any of them) i want to save as much money on this console so I'll probably rent or buy most games pre-owned.
I've never played GoldenEye but being a James Bond fan this game will be the first that I download from the Wii archive when I buy one. That game was always one that I wanted but could never get. You appear to be a GoldenEye expert so no, I won't play you because you will probably humiliate me in a multiplayer game!!!0 -

Well here are my reviews (note these are Nintendo exclusives)
Zelda Ocarina of Time ..... the most perfect game in history, it blows all other games away by some considerable margin. available on the N64, or remastered on the gamecube on special edition bonus disk with the never release master quest. In essence a RPG/Action/Puzzle game, that will blow you away, it is that good. It'll take you ages to finish, but it is the pinnacle of gaming. 99.999%
Zelda Windwaker ... great game, cell shaded graphics (annoyed some core fans) but I thought it was great. 97%
Zelda Marjora's mask ... A weird but very good game, different masks allow player to move through the game, game revolves around a surreal 1 day scenario, where things go back to the same point everyday. 93%
Goldeneye & Perfect Dark both from RARE who did great things with Nintendo (diddy kong, mario kart, banjo kazooie, banjo tooie, etc) and have done s*d all with microsoft. Goldeneye is my all time favourite FPS, and the multiplayer is superb, and beats most of today's FPS hands down. Perfect dark is on similar lines, but without license (went to EA who can't produce a decent bond game to save their lives). The single player mode are absolutely classic.
97%.
Metroid 1 & 2 - FPS/action/puzzler, absolutely amazing, bosses on 1 are out of this world (only Ninja Gaiden on XBOX has better), this is brilliant and blows virtually everything away. The sequel is on the Wii, and there is also a metriod on DS. MP 1 97%. MP2 94%

So far Rare haven't donw a deal with Nintendo and so none of their games will be appearing on the virtual console yet - shame as I too wanted another crack at Goldeneye. No reliance should be placed on the above.0
