I'm really sorry that those of you who were waiting to preorder today didn't get one.
I managed to preorder from Game, and I'm number 3 on their list so guaranteed to get a Wii, although I did preorder about 2 months ago.
I hope you get lucky and manage to get 1, steer clear of ebay tho.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

AARRRRGGHH .... from Sendit.Com
"I am writing regarding the Nintendo Wii Console, that you have pre-ordered with us here at sendit.com.
Sadly, it has become apparent that our stock allocation will not be enough to fulfill all pre-orders for launch day (8th December). This is due to a European shortage of Nintendo Wii Consoles. We will be receiving further allocations from Nintendo before Christmas, so those who placed their orders earliest will be best placed to receive this stock. However, Nintendo have informed us that the console will not be freely available until next year."

I managed to get an Amazon one this morning. I added it to my basket ... it moved it to my saved items saying it was out of stock ... I kept moving it back to my basket and went through this process about 5 times, and eventually it worked!
I think the whole process took about 10 seconds and I saw the page about 5 seconds after it appeared ... job done. I don't know how long after that they were available for, but I suspect I wasn't the only one who was this quick.
The Wii is definitely staying under my Christmas tree (no ebay this year).
