Rewards for finding 'out of date' goods on the shelf?

In Danish supermarkets, you normally get a reward if you come across an 'out of date' item on their shelves. Depending on the supermarket chain, you are given a bag of coffee, red wine or some other rewards for letting them know if they have OOD goods on their shelves. What are the rules for various supermarket chains here…

Surely if it's an offence to do something you can be fined the first time you do it.
