I would make a mint if they did that here - a certain shop that I go into for some Organic stuff (I ain't going to name them) always have blasted out of date stuffIt's hard to find the balance when you are love.
You're lost in the middle cause you have to decide between mind & heart.
Heart is the engine of your body but brain is the engine of life.

If I ever mention an out of date item on the shelf, I either get a dirty look, it snatched out of my hands followed by "you cannot buy that" or the staff member shurgs and walks off. Occasionally they will say "thats not my department".
Just the idea of getting anything close to thankyou would be better then a dirty look.
Or maybe I should just stop shopping at Tesco....
Go to Lidl, if you find anything in date they thank you and put the price up :rotfl:0 -

At morrisons I was told "that's why it's reduced" by a staff member who didn't understand the problem.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

If I ever point out a problem to a member of staff they smile, say thank you & go and sort it.
(not to say they don't curse me as soon as I'm out of earshot)
Don't get me started on Asda- once I nearly walked off having paid £7 odd for a satsuma. The cashier had lent on the scales. I went to get a refund and they refused me. Told me they had to look on CCTV (incase I had eaten the 20 satsumas I suppose) they came back, did give me a refund by no apology made. I will never forget that.
Added to that the security guard who follows me around for reasons I am unaware just does my head in!- actually maybe I am better off staying with Tescos!0 -

You found a checkout girl in Asda who weighed less than 30 stone? Normally if checkout girls in Asda lean on the scales you end up with a bill for a couple of hundred pounds:rotfl:0 -

Love the morrisons reductions section. Piece of meat reduced from 8.99 to 8.79 because it is due to run out that day. Are they actually being serious.:rotfl: The sheer stupidity of some of the pricing cracks me up as well. Recently spotted:
8 cans of coke 3.50
12 Cans of coke 2.99
I'm not an intellectual genius but surely any department manager is going to notice a slight anomaly there (that said people were still buying the 8 can option)0 -

lol spotted that myself.
Where i work in the back is the staff shop (usually stuff we cannot sell to public ie 15 pack bottles with 2 missing, Items with labels missing etc) and that amount of times i see something in there that works out more expensive than the offer on the shop floor astounds me. i.e 6 packs coke up at £2.50-Something pence on shop floor.....2 for £4 offer though. Staff shop: 6pack coke 1 missing so reduction....But the reduction is based on the full price of £2.50something not 2 for £4 so per can ends up working out worse than the offer on the shop floor.
Rule 1 folks when shopping: make sure you can do basic calculations when comparing products/offers.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0 -
I found some carrot batons in Tescos with a sell by date of that day but they refused to reduce them.. so I didnt buy any at all

we have the same all the time in Iceland. Obviously it isn't up to us what the prices are changed too but it is hilarious. I mean our 4 pint milk is £1.10(was £1) and our 6 pint milk is £2.25! I mean what the hell? 8 pints(2x4) works out cheaper then 6!:rotfl:
We have a similiar offer on the coca-cola too. In fact they're all over the place, but trust me plenty of folks will just buy what they always do, they don't consider two of a smaller pack, might be cheaper then a big one, or vice versa. I'm always looking at price per 100g/1kg personally.0
