The race is on between you and Immoral-Angel then Mrs Sparkle.

What is your due date, and your preferred date?

Thanks everyone! I'll keep you informed.

I imagine I-A will be way ahead of me... I'm due on 8th Feb and my absolute preferred date will be 3rd Feb- or the 4th as that's our first wedding anniversary :D

Ooh, if it is 3rd Feb he'll be in fabulous company (i.e. moi! :rotfl: ) :j :D But then my mum hoped for the 2nd of Feb because then my birthday would be 2/2/84 and she likes even numbers  :rotfl: so perhaps you'd better start [STRIKE]pretending[/STRIKE] saying very loudly that you'd love the 2nd!! ;)

If you disappear for a few days we'll know things are happening... but do keep us updated as much as you can manage!

    Thanks everyone!

Kath, Lyns + SS how are you all doing, haven't spoken to you in ages? Bit manic at work still- only 3 days left and I'm desperately trying to get everything handed over in time so I can chill out when I start maternity leave.

OK, I'll aim for the 3rd then Kath... but don't blame me if things happen sooner, things seem to be changing day by day and I'm getting a lot of mild contractions now which is very exciting.

I knew I hadn't seen you on the 'how much' but would never harass a pregnant lady :) I am doing OK thanks. Work is so busy right now and we are having lots of changes, new people, new jobs....all the usual really. Just wish I could hibernate through it all! Passing the 50% mark was great - needed a little boost today to be honest.

I know nothing about baby stuff but really hope the head being engaged is not painful to either you or Sparklo!

hey miz moozie!! did you make a song and dance about it when you passed the half-way mark??? I know I did!!! I bet there are loads of people out there who'd love to say congrats. Reckon you should post!!!

anyway, if you don't want to, let me just say it:

    :j  :j  :j  :j  :j  :j

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

hey mrs sparkle!!! Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well and good in Sparkleland and that the Prince of Sparkle makes his appearance in a calm and considerate manner sometime soon!!!! (& remember - during the birth, if they offer you drugs, or drink - just take them! that's what I reckon!)

Glad to hear all is going well with you and little sparky - Thomas is a lovely name. Is his head fully engaged? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that he stays put for another week or so! I'm 6 months pregnant next week and am getting very excited about all these imminent births....also very jealous as I've got a lot longer to go looking like a hippopotamous yet! Take care, wishing you a stress-free, minimum pain delivery xxx

Woohoo Snaggles- 6 months already! Hope you enjoy the final 3 months... I must admit I've had a lovely pregnancy and it's only now that I feel like the size of a house.

Baby Sparkle stayed put like a good boy while I finished work so now I'm on a week's annual leave (full pay!) before I officially start maternity leave next week. The last time the midwife checked he was 1/5 engaged and that was 2 weeks ago. I don't feel like he's dropped anymore since then but I'm sure I'll find out at the doctor's this week x x

Why does pay day always take so long to come round? Especially in January...

Anyway, I had some fabulous news on the financial side this week- my pay rise, which will be effective from this month, is £4K a year :j In addition to this I'll get a £3K bonus next Wednesday so :j again. I've promised to pay for the new TV that we've just had to put on hubby's credit card which is £500 but even after the massive tax deductions that should still leave me with enough to make a good dent in my debt and so kick off 2007 in style. The pay rise will be soooo useful when I go back to work as childcare costs around here are stupidly expensive.

I should be around on here a lot more over the next couple of weeks as I wait for Thomas to make his arrival so I look forward to chatting to you lovely people and picking up tips on how to be a Yummy Mummy On A Budget :D
