  • i wish i had not left a positive for her when she paid, which took 5 days and via paypal in full, but will be following it up when i have seen how much more nasty it gets and have seen what she says about me.I have told her i have withdrawn any money offer when £50 wasnt good enough and i saw her feedback.

  • One negative feedback is'nt worth £50 surely?
hear hear. I have a feedback score of 99.5% and a total of six negatives over the past few years. I don't think it's had any impact on the number of sales that I have made. There are some right weirdos/con-artists out there and sooner or later you WILL get a negative no matter what an honest person you are. My policy is to put a small comment under any negative, staing something like "No complaints at time of stay from this buyer" and if you haven't already fedback I would neg them for threats. You may also be able to get them banned if they are threatening you, meaning that they can't give you any feedback.
  • Thanks househunter, have re-contacted e-bay regarding threatening e-mails, the £50 was from my freind to bring the matter to a close, not just my feedback, i know i don't deserve it and i am sure anyone checking up would trust me after seeing her feedback.

tell the person that you have contacted your solicitors about her activities and they want her address or her solicitors address to send correspondence
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D
  • Just tell them tough luck and they should have complained while they were using it and not to bother wasting your time asking for a refund as all they will get is a big fat nothing.
  • She's now told paypal it was not as discribed and they have put my account into dispute with a minus balance, should i communicate or use the end claim to esculate (i think thats what it said) button?

  • What ARE the advantages of paypal? From what I read on here, not a lot and I am appalled at the above, hope you get it sorted soon.

I'm sticking with cheques and postal orders, I like to control my own finances, not have big brother Paypal dictate to me.

They say they contacted PayPal - I doubt that because if they opened a dispute you would have got an email from PayPal themselves.

They are just trying to scare you into coughing up a refund - DONT DO IT. Withdraw your £50 offer now and just ignore them.

People like this prey on people's 100% feedback, and there willingness to do anything but lose that 100%.

It may be hard to hear but, until those 100%'ers are willing to put their feedback to one side and do the right thing and leave all these eBay scammers the negative feedback they deserve, stories like this will be common. Dont forget you can leave a reply to any non-positive feedback - and (as in my case) does 3 negatives mean anything against 1151 positives?

Sorry missed last few posts - dont give in without a fight. Point out that they turned up late, stayed 2 nights (so cant have been that bad) and that they never complained whilst there. It is difficult to know what PayPal will do in this instance as how do they (they buyer) prove that it was not as described - and there is nothing they (the buyer) can send back - and so you would be out of pocket. Dont forget to mention you offered a partial refund.

    Good luck
