  • I think she's sussed she won't get anywhere with paypal and e-bay, now she says she is contacting environmental health:eek:
I offered her £50 but she said she was insulted and has given me a deadline of tonight for a refund before she takes action.
On a lighter note i re-checked her feedback only to find that today she left neg feedback for someone today and they replied saying she tried blackmailing them,(sounds familiar)
i think she has it comming to her!!

Environmental health are extremely unlikely to be interested, if you are certain the caravan was habitable tell her to go for it. I'd also mention the other neg they have received and that you think perhaps ebay should be informed of their underhand tactics.
  • You should tell her you'll report her to the police for attempted fraud.
  • Has she threatened you with negative feedback if you don't refund her. There is a section in ebay that they will remove feedback if there have been threats. You need to keep all emails read this

They are also not allowed to be abusive in feedback or it(and yours) will be removed.
  • she hasn't actually threatened my feedback 'yet' ~ just me and my freind, thanks for the info on e-bay although i couldn't get the link to work but found it on e-bay myself, i now await my neg and my freind awaits the health officer!!
Vijay, don't you think talking police is taking it a bit too far, or am i too kind?

  • i think your friend will be waiting a long time for the health officer:D

as for contacting the police just wait for her 2 make the first move which in my opinion wont happen as shes just trying it on.

as your sure the caravans fine she has no evidence and you and your friend have nothing to worry about.

all the evidence is on your side, lengh of stay etc+threatening e-mails.

my bet is after the deadline they may have a rethink about your £50 offer.

i woudnt pay them a thing.

  • If they were nice about it, £50 refund might be reasonable.

The way they've acted, £0 refund seems a little too much. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
  • but i dont want to risk my feedback.
Why not? Don't let people hold you to ransom on feedback. Use if for honest appraisal.

  • One negative feedback is'nt worth £50 surely?

This is the problem listing for other people (although in this case you appear to have a nasty buyer).

Personally I would whack them with a negative feedback now;highliting the point that the are trying to blackmail you. Whatever you do is make no more offers and call there bluff and suggest you would be happy for any inspection they care to suggest.

Don't take this take their inevitable negative and reply to it politely and with facts...stay calm.
