Well we are not following the planner this time but we had the HM pizza tonight as it has become a firm favourite in this house. We are having the sweetcorn fritters tomorrow to keep in line with the rest of you testers. Hope everyone has a good night xx

  • Can I ask a really dumb question.. I thought this was £40 a month? The recipe plan says £100 a month :)
  • Hello,

I did the veggie burgers last night (I'll post pictures tomorrow), I really enjoyed them, they were a bit spicy for DD, but that's because she's not used it it :)

I served them with baked potato as DD not keen on chip shaped foods the plate did look a little dry, but a healthy blob of mayo (not hm sorry, but in the fridge) some tomatoes and cucumber sorted that.

The flavour reminded me of onion bajhi (sp), Dh said they were ok but he could taste the out (puzzled).

The veggie burgers are very nice for lunch on a pitta bread, again with a healthy squirt of mayo, tomatoes and cucumber.

I made Cottage pie tonight - one word yummy - the colour was a bit , but that's because I'm used to making it with gravy, There's plenty left for tomorrow. Both DH and DD liked it. I think I overcooked the potatoes as they mashed themselves when I was draining the water off.

Another recipe idea, I've been pondering on sausages, as we like and miss sausages, would a good alternative be Glamorgan Sausages?

The recipe plan(ners) is £100 per month, for 4 people.

    Hope this helps

I wonder if perhaps you were thinking of Weezl's first challenge ? That was £40 a month, but for two people - and at the prices from a few years ago. Sadly, at today's prices, £25 per person per month (which is still only £5 more per person than Weezl's initial challenge) is the lowest Weezl's been able to go yet still include all the necessary nutrients to make the planner healthy.
