Yes, you can - most of us do, all the time. You can freeze it as whole loaves, half loaves or pre-sliced, and the way you choose to do it depends really on how many people, how quickly you are likely to eat it, and how likely you are to forget to defrost it in time ! If not many of you and not eating much, and likely to forget to defrost, freeze in slices, as you can then only take out few at a time and they will defrost much quicker - when you freeze as whole loaves it's best to take out of the freezer last thing at night and allow to defrost overnight.
You can also make up sandwiches for lunchboxes in advance and freeze - I believe that if you take them out of the freezer first thing in the morning they will be ready to eat by lunchtime.0 -

Well my slow cooked gammon was amazing, must have been in 19 hours in total on low with just a stock cube and a lot of water which I then used to make the stuffing and cook the veg in, yum yum.
Did you say that Sunday would be okay for the trial meal?
Went to Home Bargains for the bits for the goodie bags, lots of activity books including football and star wars, some bottles of bubbles, felt tips, story books and some sweet bags, that shop is brilliant for that kind of thing, cost me about £10 which I thought was great for the amount I got. I meant to ask too, was that advice about chocolate buttons from experience? Kids are very sticky creatures aren't they?God is good, all the time

I like faq's myself. I like learning little things that I didn't know before. I think that's one of the reasons I like this forum so much.
That is really great to hear :T I think that the thing I like about it most though is the fact that, unlike in some other forums, people can debate an issue from the opposite end of the spectrum while remaining civil and respectful, and agree to disagree if needs be
You have my sympathy regarding the nut intolerance - I have a food allergy myself, a highly unusal one, and I certainly found that this requires me to take more than usual personal responsibility regarding food - and it can certainly make eating out a very fraught experience, especially in a new place where I am uncertain about how much I can trust the service staff to understand and respect my fears. I have been in a situation where I was reassured that a dish is safe for me to eat yet a mouthful into it my throat was swelling in reaction to the foodstuff that should not have been there.
Considering that a childhood friend of mine died from anaphylactic shock in a restaurant during a meal to celebrate her first wedding anniversary (she was 25), and considering that I have been hospitalised with food caused anaphylaxis myself, this is not something that I would ever take, or support anyone else in taking with anything else than extreme care and caution.
And this is the biggest issue we would have regarding the inclusion of any advice regarding nut allergies on the website - when it comes to a nut allergy, it is not so much that an adverse reaction to nuts is more common that an adverse reaction to any other food - it is just that, for reasons as yet unknown, it is the one food group that is more likely than any other to cause anaphylaxis. And this is why any sufferer has to take extreme care and responsibility for their food intake; and why it would be extremely dangerous and irresponsible to include any advice regarding the suitability of CFR foods for allergy sufferers on the site - put simply, we just have no way of guaranteeing that any of the ingredients are safe to use for people suffering from this problem, which is why we can not include any advice that could be misinterpreted as guaranteeing this safety.
Of course, that is the site, and this thread is a different matter - nutritional guidance to a pal that has a food intolerance is something we can all try and help withNutrition boxes, once live, should make this far easier for us all at any rate.

And she said that white choc is a much less grubby looking choice.
And I thought what an inspired idea!
