Sian_the_Green wrote: »Je comprends. I have a very busy week (my brother gets married Friday) but I can do Sunday. Would that work or is it too late? I could have a fiddle with the stuffing but get the impression it needs to be a whole meal experiment not just the stuffing to see if it works. I like Allegra's idea with the stuffing in the onions too, and the idea of the sausages in the stuffing. Theoretically if all the ingredients are used in the meal, does it matter where in the meal certain things fall?
I think I will need to invite some people around for teaDo you have a general estimate of the cost of just that meal? I am assuming that is the crowning glory of the week and so will be a slightly more expensive one.
HTH
I agree re the costs. The actual meal will cost you £1.30 per person, but yes you will probably need to spend £10-15 in the supermarket in initial outlay. This would be greatly reduced if you can find a smaller joint of pork (as the current one happily does 2-3 meals for 4 people) the things you will be left with shouldn't be hard to use up weirdy ingredients tho.
Ummmn I'm not sure if that helps! Was that kinda what you meant?
Please tell me how friday goes, I am sister of the groom myself in Aprilas well as wife of the best man, and mummy of the two tearaway nephews, so I think I will have role conflict a plenty :rotfl:

I shall get a smaller joint and I know I have a lot of the other stuff in the house, though not cider... I actually have a gammon in the slow cooker today, went on low last night at about 11, I have had it before when someone else made it and it was really delish, that was only £4.50 for 1.2kg so I can't imagine the other pork being too expensive.
I love that your hubby is your bro's best man, or is it AM's bro that is getting married? It should be fun, not a massive wedding, only 45 guests (still sound a lot I guess). I have to make some 'goodie bags' for the kids at the wedding, 6 boys, think gags and restraints might be my best option, not sure I can afford 6 lego sets which is the other thing I think might work.God is good, all the time

Re the goodie bags, can I recommend white choc buttons if any sweeties, and HM play-doh with no food colouring added, as either brown choc, or red play-doh coupled with wedding outfits= bad wedding photos

I don't think I even KNOW 160 people!!0 -
just to keep everyone motivated: dear all- 12,142 unique visitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to put it into success terms which may feel more tangible, in business terms, the 'worth' of a website is sometimes calculated as £30 per unique visitor. Using that analysis, CFR has been live for under 5 months and is worth £364,440. Already.
Anyone wanna make me an offer?

Good job our Weezl is already hitched, would be an expensive bill at the bar for this lot...
Congratulations, that is a remarkable achievement, though can you tell us again when it gets to 12,345, preferably on the 9th of October
:T:T:T
Whilst homemade sounds great for the goodie bags my brother is very different from me on that front, they have put a scratch card in each favour box! Play doh sounds like a good idea thoughGod is good, all the time

Had the Smoked Salmon Pasta tonight, delicious.
Katie has discovered a new food, I gave her a taste of the salmon as I was snipping it up, all I got then was "can I have some more please?"
We didn't need the bread as it was very filling (I did full quantity of sauce to half quantity of pasta)
I forgot to the garlic powder but it was lovely without.
DH and DD have voted for Toad in the Hole tomorrow. DH will have the left over gravy from Christmas Dinner as he doesn't like onion gravy.Proud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it
