Bread pics HERE
All your pics are looking good LIT
One of them, I noticed is of toffee vodkakakakakaka
I made this a couple of years ago, and forgot how nice it was, so thanks for reminding me... I need to make some for xmas pressies this year I think
I will be doing the cranberry and cashew nut roast tomorrow.....
I got home about an hour ago, and had been out of the house since before 6am this morning .. and it was a very busy day.
So tonights dinner has consisted of BEER  and a fish finger sandwich:rotfl:
I do think more BEER will be consumed... as I have 3 carrier bags full... and I mean FULL TO THE BRIM, of elderberries.. which I have to destalk
It will take some time.. but has to be done
I really need to have a serioius freezer shuffle too, to accomodate the berries...
 I wonder if the nut roast would work with elderberries, instead of cranberries ??
Hmmmm... I may do a half and half recipe, if I can work it out0 -
oo does anyone have a toffee vidka recipe perchance?!! Want to make worky people some small drams for xmas and know alcohol will go down muchos wellios!

My toffee vodka is very watery as I think i used the wrong kind of toffees. I used werthers original hard boiled sweets when I think I should of used proper toffee, so I am going to split what ive made and add propper sticky pull your teeth out kind of toffee lol.
I did also make skittle vodka...........but thats all gone!!! (Hic!)Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

potato salad
What a disaster but that was down to me overcooking the potatoes!!! Did taste lovely even if it did resemble a mass of mash, onions n hotdogs!!! Kids ate it with HP sauce and also had seconds so not a complete waste of time.
also the bread I made earlier has ALL GONE!!!! (although sandwiches for packed lunches tomorrow have been made)
Anyone watch hairy bikers mum knows best?
Samosas made from tortillas looks easy and we already have the tortilla recipeSealed Pot Challenge member #982

I used a cheap vodka bottle.... and a big bag of Werthers original.
Put all in a DJ or bigger bottle.. and shake until the sweets have dissolved.
Mine too was quite thin... as thin as vodka.
I think if you wanted a thicker liqueur style drink, you would need to add some glycerin.. you would be able to get glycerin from chemists... this would also sweeten the drink, so add sparingly to taste0 -
Rissotto with leftover "xmas" pork for tea today. I think for planner followers, using the same mushroom soup, oinions and pork along with a bit of cider borrowed from one of its recipes and some stock, or even water with erm, 400g of rice, would make an interesting alternative to tortillas. I personally really like tortillas, but went with rissotto for time constraint reasons. ( Also useful if someone who isn't owning up, has nicked bits of pork from the fridge in the interim and it now needs to be super stretchy!!)

Good morning everyone
Just wanted to pop in to say that you are all doing really well with the testing of recipes. I haven't been around much recently because real life seems to be getting in the way but I am trying to keep up when I can.
I am making the winter squash risotto again today, so yummy. Cannot wait for lunch!
You are all doing a great job! :TMoney paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

Ive worked myself up into a right state over something thats probably very trivia and I just need some advice please.
Ive logged into facebook today and have found that my ex's girlfriends profile pic is of her, my ex, MY kids and her kids with the title my little family!.
Im furious!!! I dont want my kids being plastered all over facebook for a start and the other thing is that my kids certainly arent HER family. He sees the kids as and when he can be bothered to make arrangements with my mum (he has had then for 1 weekend this year!) He doesnt live with his g/friend and only sees her once a month.
Do you think I am being unreasonable if I asked her to remove the photo?
Rant over............sorry xSealed Pot Challenge member #982

Oh no LIT, thats rubbish. If i would you I would ask for the photo to be removed, arguing from the point of view that you dont wish your children to be known on the internet. I hope you feel better soon:(In art as in love, instinct is enough

Not unreasonable at all. But Arty is absolutely right - you are more likely to get a desired response if you argue from the "no kids photo on the internet" angle.0
