SquirrelOh my word you have so much in your freezer. You shouldn't need to shop for the month, it wont be a challenge lolfreezer was a new buy last year. We deliberatly spent out on a big upright with drawers. It means we can bulk buy basics and batch cook. I wish I'd done some sums before we got it but it is saving us loads and meaning we don't end up with food wasted or having to be too creative with bits about to go out of date. The freezer inside is full of frozen herbs, veg and fruit. The outside one is full of meat, fish and batch cooked food. I guess you are completely right that this means we are virtually always doing a store cupboard challenge :rotfl:
Went through my wardrobe again today- think I am pretty much there now with my work clothes! Will turn hangers round when I've worn stuff and in Spring when I swap to spring/ summer clothes I will get rid of anything I haven't worn!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Goodness you are one organised lady, I'm lucky if my things make it back into the chest of drawers before I wear them next, and we are still free of hanging space in our room, the kids have got it all!!
I really really want a freezer for the garage, but DH's car ate up any spare cash, and also going to visit poorly MIL is costing us a small fortune. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Grateful- hopefully at some point you can treat yourself to one. Sorry to hear MIL is poorly
Saving- probably even months!!
Radish- thanks! I've been having a really bad week at work and have been feeling rubbish because of it. Have spent last 3 days fighting a migraine. Have lost the motivation to cook and have spent too much! Coming on here and seeing these posts has cheered me up a bit. I mustn't let work get in the way of life.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Jellie - no more work for 2 day so :j and boo to feeling rough
I never turned all the coat-hangers round, I feel really out of sorts, feel a bit sick so I'm tucked up on the sofa with a cup of tea. Need to ring BF in a mo and tell him I'm not coming over tonight

Thanks Radish- hope you feel better too. You are right, time to dust myself off and enjoy the weekend!

The storecupboard challenge is still going strong! However, despite trying really hard we don't seem to have made any progress with the mortgage this month! I made a major mistake treating myself before Christmas as my mum and dad both usually give me money and I wanted to buy the stuff and get it delivered while I was around to take delivery. They of course then bought me pressies instead!! Also paid out for dentist, decorating things, some wedding stuff and a couple of new rugs. Although none of these things was particularly major I guess they all added up. We haven't spent more than came in but didn't manage to save the extra as planned.
Time for me to really knuckle down! Might go cash only for a month.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I'm feeling very smug with myself, all clothes that don't currently fit (not so smug about that) are in a different wardrobe
Ironing complete and all clothes in wardrobe with hangers turned round, even have a little pile to go in a charity bag already, so you can give yourself a pat on the back :rotfl:

Life is sent to try us in one way or another, so don't feel too bad about not getting to target. Just keep going because anything you pay helps the end result, and get you there quicker. Good to see you back posting btw0
