More shopping today- spent a fair bit but got tons for my money! Got various bits and pieces for the house and some tester paint pots to help decide on paint colours. Also got some Christmas decorations.

The ken wood chef arrived so am planning to do some baking tomorrow as well as continuing the tidy and declutter mission. Need to get started on my next sewing project so I don't forget how to do it! Really can't decide what to make next as I have several patterns to try but am using velvet for the first time. Not sure whether to make the same skirt I've done before to get used to the fabric before I try something more complex.

Ooh I used to have a Kenwood Chef in my other life.
    Enjoy!

I've never worked with it before. Do you think I'd be able to mould test tube holders with it. Am thinking something like cut a basic shape with cookie cutter and use test tube pushed down to make hole? Then remove tube and bake.

    Not sure to be honest.

Why are you stressing about the wedding? Is it the budget? If so think about it like this.

    - Do you really want it? Can you afford it? If so have it. You only get married once so there is no point going without and regretting it. We all know things can be foudn cheaper so it can be done.

Thanks YB. Not sure why it makes me stressed. Just that feeling of all the things you 'have' to do! Feels like a never ending list of decisions etc. Have finally sent out the save the date cards to my side x

Have ordered my test tubes and various bits for making decorations. Money is flying out at the moment! Doing it all as cheaply as we can though.

Used the Kenwood chef to make Christmas cake and cookie dough for freezer today. Now we need to think about what to have for dinner. Might walk up to the restaurant!

We battled the snow to walk to Iceland earlier and got some savoury bits for boxing day. Still got stuff to buy but will see if weather improves enough for a proper supermarket shop or whether we need to walk up and get a bit at a time! Might support the local deli by getting bits there.

    Jellie,

I'd have thought either wooden bases or wire would work best. Depends if you want a holder to show the bottom of the test tube off or just to stand it in a base.
