Thanks Katsu- when the test tubes arrive I will try a few of the ideas out and see which seem best!

Used the Kenwood chef to make Christmas cake and cookie dough for freezer today. Now we need to think about what to have for dinner. Might walk up to the restaurant!

We battled the snow to walk to Iceland earlier and got some savoury bits for boxing day. Still got stuff to buy but will see if weather improves enough for a proper supermarket shop or whether we need to walk up and get a bit at a time! Might support the local deli by getting bits there.

    Yummy cookie dough.

Managed the supermarket shop today so all stocked up. Have plenty of baking ingredients to keep me occupied if stuck indoors.
Cookie dough is now in freezer so can bake fresh cookies for any visitors.
    Still need to decorate tree!

Since the ken wood chef also has liquidiser and food processor I need to decide whether to get rid of old ones! Part of me wants to keep using them until they break and just use ken wood for baking stuff (reason I bought it). Then again do I really need to take up space with duplicates!

You sound very organised. I was thinking of baking some cookies with the kids this week but I am useless in the kitchen and need a very basic but tasty recipe :o Google is my friend :)

Glad you found the recipe YB.
Have finished Christmas decorations. Taking a break and watching Clean House to inspire me to do a bit of decluttering later! Thinking of attempting cooking chicken pies later too. Pies are on my list of easy food we want to pre prepare and freeze to cut down on takeaways when life is hectic.

Quick update of figures for today
    Mortgage paid £289 671.16/£295 000 (2.1%) Interest paid £8 454.21 Offset accounts £27 545.11 (9.5%)

I've just been thinking through target for next year and have set up a new budget on my phone. The idea is to record all spends on there again and transfer them to my spreadsheet to keep track of my spending. OH is in charge of spending in quite a few areas so just have to hope he does well or we won't manage our target of MFi5.

Time to start thinking through targets for next year. Again I'm going to track progress on my phone as well as joining relevant challenges.

Having looked at the figures closely we can make our target if we add £32000 a year to the offset on top of mortgage payments. Slightly better!!
