I'd wait till you get your money back, and don't forget to send it back tracked.

Send it Special. It will then track.

If you send it recorded and it doesn't, you will lose the PP dispute but you can claim from RM. However, RM may refuse your claim as it may show on their more detailed system that the item was delivered but shows online as not. So you lose both ways.

    Pay the £5ish SD.

    I wouldnt pay for SD
if it doesnt track as delivered under RD then the OP can claim from RM
returning by SD means the OP will be getting £3 from a £9 refund

Yes, but there was a thread on here, where RM refused a claim from someone as despite it not showing delivered online, RM said it was.

    then i would fight it
either RM updates the online track to show its delivered
or dont and accept it doesnt show as delivered

I don't disagree, but not showing as delivered is not the same as it not being delivered, here's the thread.

I have also lost a recorded claim where the tracking didn't show as delivered but RM said it was. I even made a formal complaint but they basically said they had fulfilled the requirement of delivering the item and basically didn't give a fig about my problem with paypal. As a goodwill gesture they sent me a book of stamps to compensate me for the lack of signature.

  • I am glad you are getting it sorted, I would send first class recorded, not really fair you would have to be out of pocket...some people are just so stupid, aren't they? by the way she answered back to you lol. I hope your son has a lovely party.

Haven't heard a thing since she offered only the £6 - the paypal one is going through for £9 refund. Just going to keep an eye and make sure the parcel tracks and then upload the reference to the case.

Still haven't left her any feedback - I don't like leaving people bad feedback but I don't see what else I can do really. And probably not any point in putting it off either...

I will be a little out of pocket but its going to be £9 in my paypal account which I can leave there and build up after have sold a few things myself.

    Thanks all :)

I still think that special delivery isnt worth it in this case. You will only get £3.50 back, whereas if you send 2nd class recorded you will get about £7 back - which isnt ideal, but alot better.
If the worst comes to the worst & it isnt signed for & Paypal dont refund, you can kick up a stink as soolin did & get stamps which will come in useful.
I have found that the times I have returned something it has always been refunded - even the time when something wasnt showing as signed for online.
