Incidently Your link also says that this is NOT the start of sheffield homes banning dogs from all council properties, but just from one particular block of maisonettes which has a communal garden and a shared access, which is not the same as banning dogs from council flats full stop & this is where it gets dangerous to start throwing links about and scaremongering without reading the full story.0

Obviously the dog was a Guide Dog. Probably had its gardening badge which is why it needed to be buried in a garden......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

maybe OPs buyers are just broke and cant afford funeral fees or vet's fees to dispose of said beast......0

No there isn't. I can keep 2 dogs in my council flat if i choose to. I actually have the letter from the council confirming this as well. There is nothing whatsoever about pets being banned from council flats. Not all councils follow the one example you linked to.0

Morning all.
We may have a slight problem and I don't know how to approach it.
On Sunday, I was out spreading grass seed over the little mound and where the sodden ground had got ripped up etc and I noticed a very strange smell which I can only guess is the dog. I was assured he buried the dog within a good several inches of the surface but I have seen a few low flying flies.
Now, I am in a bit of a 2 and 8, because I don't really want to upset the buyers by making them deal with it, but I am not sure what to do?
should I investigate the mound and see just how far down the dog is and maybe dig a little deeper? or should I go through the EA and let him gently ask them?
We were due to have a BBQ next weekend but I am not sure if I can cook enough minted lamb kebabs to keep the smell at bay.
HELP!0
